Cyan Cancun Resort & Spa

We chose Cyan last minute because it was available! What a little gem! The staff is very friendly and they work very hard to keep a spotless and efficient facility. The onsite restaurant has good food and friendly staff. We especially loved William! This is not a huge resort - but it is quiet, clean and beautiful. The infinity pool is large, clean and refreshing. Access to the beach is easy and the lounge chairs, umbrellas and towels are accessible and appreciated. There is a swim up bar with two super nice bartenders. We ate most of our meals onsite or across the street at a nice bar/grill and a very nice upscale Mexican "fusion" restaurant. It was a laid back, relaxing week at Cyan for us.

Right on the beach, clean, nice pool. We took advantage of two for one happy hour! You can’t beat Miguel's margaritas!

My room was dirty and in a basement that didn’t feel safe. When I complained they switched my room where my sheets were dirty and my toilet wouldn’t flush. My TV didn’t work. I wouldn’t recommend staying there. The worst part is I reached out to Expedia to move to another hotel and I couldn’t get any help or speak with anyone.

Chill. Nice staff. Great in off season! Food was delicious and good price. Convenient store across the street.

The resort was kept clean by the housekeepers despite it being old. The stay was nice overall until they tried to charge me for a broken door that was not my fault! overall, I had no issues. The resort was quiet and everyone was mindful. Just wished it was all inclusive as we were dying of hunger and the resort restaurant had few food options. 7/10. It's in walkable distance to a convince store for late night snacks and i felt pretty safe in the area. Good for families and couples that want to enjoy some peace and quiet.

I stayed 26-nights. Great location on private beach in hotel zone. A stunning seaside view from room balcony each morning, which includes beautiful Caribbean Sea, lagoon, and pool. Excellent bed, no wiggle or noise when changing positions that would disturb companion sharing the bed. Minifridge in the room is an asset. No microwave though. Shower has good pressure, no smell, I never ran out of warm water. Toiletries complimentary that included shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap for convenience to patron. Facial mirror and blow dryer available. Resort room is quiet and peaceful. I am hyper-sensitive to noise when I sleep, and I always had a great sleep during my stay. The waves bring nice white noise sound and most noise that did occur was minor in duration. I did have to put my ear plugs in one night due to strong winds banging the sliding glass door back and forth in the grooves. I assume there is nothing that can really be done about that. I saw staff painting & scrubbing during my stay, so they keep up with maintenance. There are no phones in the rooms which was a big concern for me if there were an emergency. Please note two people were saved by lifeguards while I was there, the water is beautiful but dangerous, couldn't really swim most days I was there. The pool is clean and beautiful but most days it was too cold and there is only a ladder to get in and out, no stairs. I loved my stay. I give 4 out of 5 stars.

I stayed at the Cyan with my partner for 7 nights. The staff were more than accommodating and went out of their way to help out with whatever was needed. Wilian made sure to great us daily and was always doing something special for us. I was happy to see that it was quiet. I was often the only person at the swim up bar, or in the pool. It was also never an issue to find a beach umbrella. The room felt a little run down - older furniature, rust on the lights, nicer bath towels, etc. These were all small issues for me as I spent most of my time outside. Also super easy to catch a bus if you want to venture from the hotel and explore other areas ! Thank you to the staff at Cyan Hotel !

Nice and clean place

The hotel has a stunning view! But inside the rooms need a lot of work.. looks like they haven't put any work in it.. we paid for an upgraded room to end up next to the service area where you could hear all the employees, when they were cleaning and doing laundry.. not bad for the price but don't expect something nice because it does need a lot of work.

So-called “superior ocean view” was a filthy, paint spattered window, where you could see the ocean if you stood in the right place. Dirty, stained couch, cheap furniture, broken decor hastily slapped on the wall. Paint dripped on the shower door - would have taken a second to wipe it off, but this represents what could be a very nice hotel. The restaurant was a joke. Worst, stale food I’ve ever eaten in Mexico. A couple of the staff were friendly and helpful. Not a particularly expensive hotel for the Cancun strip, but I’m sure you can do better for the money.

The hotel was in an under maintained state. Paint and chunks of the building had fallen off. Our room didn’t have any outdoor seating. We swam up to the bar in the pool and found out you have to have payment on you instead of billing to our room. No one carries a wallet in their bathing suit. The ocean was beautiful. The proximity of the ocean to the hotel was ideal. The pool had some rust stains but was a nice shape and was fun to hang out

Great place to stay. Had a great time at infinity pool and the private beach. Staff is great. They just need to work on room renovation. Building is old. Water was not properly drawing while taking shower. And the window was hard to open as the handle was quite loose and was about to fall out of my hand.
