Weird staff check in, just felt off

It was a nice quiet small hotel!

Typical Cancún fashion. the check-in person tried to hustle me and my sister, 2 separate reservation, 15 us each , saying it was a mandatory Tax. When I showed him to pls show on the reservation where it stated that, he couldn't find it. Then he proceeded to want to show me on his own paperwork and failed. He then told me HE WOULD NOT accept my reservation. I asked for a manager and after 10 mins acting like he was on the phone and flipping thru his own paperwork work, he kept apologizing stating that before it was written on the contract. Beware! This is wrong and illegal!! Take care of this problem!

It nice for a quick business trip. However the website states there is relaxing services like a spa, sauna and come to find out they actually domt offer any of that.

Don’t stay at this hotel

Hive hotel is well located between airport and hotel area Rooms are very spacious, clean and quiet Easy access if you are driving Hotel was remodeling their main restaurant and were offering service in an improvised area by the pool serving food either in lower coffee tables and or under the sun Besides this issue with the restaurant, everything else was great!

I did not like that the property did not have any of the advertised amenities in working condition. I verified before confirming booking the property is okay with our giving wash cloths I had to complain 4 times in order to just get two wash cloths. There excuse was they were out and that I’ll have to deal with it. It want until I was like I checked in today and my room was not properly stocked and how it was unacceptable. I did not like the selection of food it was very limited the hours of service was limited and the hotel seemed deserted so I was confused how my room was not stocked. They charge for every snack water or anything put in the room. So I choose to indulge in the 711 downstairs instead they did not fully close out my stay which is unsettling so I’m just hoping I don’t have unnecessary charges. Will I return that will be a no. Also the photos online are super catfish I paid the up charge to have the premium room but what they don’t show you have to travel up not well maintained spiral stair case to reach your private pool/ jacuzzi upstairs above your suite.

I did not feel safe here, as a solo female traveler I asked for a silent room and then encountered many noise disturbances that could have been handled and fixed easy by the one who provoked them- maintenance staff. Reception would not pick up calls made from room. Be ready to pay extra fees upon check in that are not written when making the booking. I did not had breakfast nor dine in here. Also avoid sushi place next door. It felt like a scam kinda of place.

There was some kind of eco conservation charge we were not aware of when we checked in. It wasn’t a huge deal. It was only seven dollars, but I don’t know the way it was collected did not seem legit. The property is great. The people that work there are awesome. The water in the shower did not get very warm. But it was great :-)

Realmente no es un hotel con VIP de Expedía, no hubo ningún tipo de amenidad especial, el desayuno continental que ofrecen es terrible… el café frío, el jugo de naranja dicen que es natural y realmente no es, las opciones de pan muy malas. Realmente prometen mucho y no cumplen.
