The hotel is situated in a quiet area on the beach with a beautiful private pool and bar/restaurant next to the pool. All were in great condition and kept up nicely. The service was great. Yet, we were informed upon check/in that the air condition was not working due to the storm and the city had not fixed it. Each day we were told that the city should come and fix it. The city arrived as we were checking out. I realize this was not the fault of the city but still, not having AC in the room at night was very warm. The hotel ended up giving us complimentary breakfast after the 2nd day. I would stay here again. It is also next to the turtle sanctuary.

Great option to vacation

Really lovely hotel in an amazing spot on the beach. The pool was brilliant! We were staying on the ground floor and you don’t really get much privacy as the doors open onto the communal pool area. The internet didn’t work in our room either. The room did feel it was missing a fridge as well, there was literally an empty fridge space for a fridge, so it was missed, especially in an area where you can’t drink the tap water. However, very clean and enjoyable stay,

This is the nicest property in the area. It’s on the beach. The rooms are clean and the pool is warm. We enjoyed our stay.

Really quality rooms, oasis in Mazunte

The location is excellent. The beach is beautiful but waves were pretty strong.

Lovely location right on the beach. Excellent pool and room. Reception staff was less than friendly. Zero greetings as we passed them several times during our stay. The bar staff were awesome! Very friendly, attentive and great.

We really loved our stay here. We don't typically spend this much for a hotel, but it was completely worth it. Mazunte itself can be really busy and noisy and this place has such a peaceful, lux vibe with a short walk to everything. The pool was super clean, you are right on the beach, the staff brings food and drink straight to you in the pool, and the staff was super helpful. I felt overall that the rooms could have been better cleaned. They made the bed but left a dirty floor mat and shower looked like it hadn't been touched. Also, if you plan on staying out late, get the code to get in. We got locked out one night, rang the door bell a bunch and eventually had to walk around through the beach and scale a small fence, which was not great for my husband who had a hurt back. Not a big deal but just FYI because Mazunte has a great night life and it's worth staying out later some nights and come back to your quiet spot on the beach.

Every room has a great view! All of the staff were excellent and friendly. The pool was refreshing and the grounds beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. Good air conditioning. Would appreciate more comfortable seating options in the room and on the balcony. A mini frig would also be nice. Overall, I truly believe it is one of the nicest accommodations in Mazunte! I would stay here again.

New hotel in great location on the beach.

The best location. Quiet, right on the beach but close to everything. You can walk on the beach to town or the road. The king bed was amazing, comfortable, soft and spacious, yes, I don't know how but it felt bigger than usual king, which I really enjoyed. You can't beat the location and view

Hotel Casa Lu in likely the nicest hotel in Mazunte. The setting on the beach with pool was picturesque. The food at the restaurant and bar was good as was the selection. The staff was attentive and accommodating, too. The rate charged for this hotel exceeds the experience. Little things like washcloths, soap, a small refrigerator - just little standard things weren’t present. Mazunte in general is a hippie town, dirt roads, with a very casual vibe. We booked for 9 nites; we left after 4. Next accommodations in Hualtuco were less expensive but were 4 /5 star quality....just depends on what your expectations are. I give this hotel a 3 star and the town a 1 star.
