Privilege Aluxes Isla Mujeres Adults Only

Our first trip to Mexico at Privilege Aluxes was an absolute dream. The resort and Island itself is absolutely gorgeous. From the stunning beach and crystal clear blue waters to the warm, attentive staff and cozy, relaxing atmosphere, everything exceeded our expectations. The spacious, cool airconditioned room with a balcony jacuzzi was perfect for unwinding and retreating from the sun, and the food was fresh and delicious with a variety of menu options including appetizers and desserts. Breakfast buffet and coffee bar was the perfect easy start to the day. We loved the swim-up bar and pool area but the main attraction is the 2 min walk to a perfect beach. It was the perfect blend of relaxation and luxury, and we can’t wait to return!

Wonderful vacation!

The location of this property is perfect. Walking distance from the ferry and pretty much on the beach. Directions to the main entrance could be a little clearer but we eventually found it. The staff is exceptional and even welcomed us with a glass of champagne. The rooms are definitely dated and could definitely be cleaner as there was hair in the corners of the room and in the shower. The towels were very old and hard and crunchy, I did not appreciate that. They offered us the all inclusive option for $60 which we did for one day. The breakfast is included in the stay was pretty decent. However, the dinner option at the steakhouse was AWFUL! It was served Brazilian churascharia style. They had 6 different meat 3 of which were pork and we don't eat pork. When they did bring the steaks over they served us the most meager portions possible. And when we asked for more they had an issue with that. We explained that we had barely eaten the entire time and one server took pity on us and brought us back a second slice of steak. We left there hungry and went to eat elsewhere. They only serve bottom shelf liquor with Jose Cuervo being the only tequila option. Once I asked the bartender at the pool if there were any top shelf option he responded "Do you see any?" Overall the stay was fine but this resort is definitely not 4 or 5 star worthy. It's a 3 at best. If you do decide to stay here eat at one of the many restaurants 2 blocks away. They were all amazing!

This was a very nice getaway for me, my husband and our friends, for my 50th birthday! The grounds were clean and well maintained. It was peaceful and quiet, the Mexican buffet on the beach was great, as were the tacos at the Beach Club, the breakfast buffet at Sabor and the dinners we enjoyed at the brazilian steak night and Japanese food at Satay! Thank you also to Michel who went the extra mile with cake, rose and rose petals in our suite for my birthday, and rose petals and a beautiful romantic beach dinner for me and my husband. There was rarely a time we couldn't find seats together out near the beach, and the pool swim up bar attendants were friendly and efficient. Unfortunately as with most all-inclusives, the alcohol was subpar and it was not even an option to pay for the good stuff. Drinks were very weak. But, that's really the only complaint we had. We rented a golf cart a couple times and went other places on the island, which was fun. But there is plenty of shopping and eating within walking distance if you prefer. I highly recommend Privilege Aluxes and expect we will return sometime!

First time staying at this resort and will definitely be going back again. The food was great and actually had flavor, and the service and drinks were excellent. It was great they had DosXX's on tap as well as other good beer selections in bottle or cans and the liquors were not the cheapy stuff other places give. Had a problem with our plumbing in the first room we were put in, but they quickly moved us to another without much inconvenience. Great clean beach on beautiful Norte Playa and great place on the island within walking distance to great restaurants and nightlife. Very nice clean amenities and very quiet atmosphere if you wanted to just relax. Great experience overall.

LOVED this property. The food was incredible. It was safe, the beach beach is just steps away and arguably the clearest sections of water on the island. Every single staff member we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. It will become a go-to destination for us

We have stayed here around 13 times. It’s always amazing.

They described themselves as an adult only hotel. It felt like a senior citizen hotel. From the music they play and the musicians that play in the pool. It feels like elevator music…. The pool is great it’s just the vide sucks.. they need to add activities to get it more exiting.

Will not stay anywhere else in Isla!!

Everything about our stay was perfect!

Rooms were small, so noisey heard traffice until early morning hours. Loud carts and motor bikes. The food was not vety good and my wife was sick all night with stomach issues. No place to escape the out foors as everything was outside except in your room The showet had missing and loisr floor times. Told them it was our 40th wedding anniversary. They didn't even acknowledge it. Would not recommend this to anybody

I loved the location, the beautiful water and superior service with all kinds of options.

P/A was our first experience in Mexico and was truly an amazing experience! My only wish , was that they had buffet options for lunch and dinner like they do breakfast. Was there with my husband to relax and enjoy time together. We will definitely be back!
