An hotel that looks nothing like the photos. The hotel is not at 7minutes distance from the airport, with trafic 40 min, fluid 25 we did both. There is no check in or check out counter, there was only a security gardian who gave us the key at the entrance. The bed was not a mattress at all and it was dirty like they just made the bed and didn't change to wash them. A sofa with white powder, and I don’t thing it was baking soda to clean it up. The floor was stained with old blood. The curtains didn’t work to close them at night and the bathroom didn't had towels at all. We stayed here as emergency to spend the night because our flight was canceled after 12 hrs delayed du to volcano activity and we booked at 23hrs. We spend the night my boyfriend and I with all our clothes on because the bed was dirty. We “checked out” at 7am and even if we had the protection plan no one to answer or help us with a claim. Save 100$ and go to an other hotel but here. Nothing safe or pleasant here.

The hotel is massive, so if you're looking for a family atmosphere, this isn't the place. The library, movie room, cafe, kitchen, theater, and chilling areas were nice. The beds were very comfortable, and they changed bedding daily. Staff was helpful, but they really don't have enough people working reception, especially during checkin time. As a result, you don't get a full tour when you check in, and they may not even mention the hostel events. The location is a short walk to the Centro Historico or Salto del Agua metro, but really not a lot going on after dark (perhaps sketchy), either for food or entertainment without walking up to Regina or the Zocalo. They have an event room on the ground floor, and as I stayed in a room on the first floor, I could hear and feel the bass into the early hours on Thursday night of my stay, until 2:10am. They have earplugs at the front desk, but light sleepers probably couldn't tolerate this. The bathrooms have black mold on the ceilings which the cleaning staff must ignore or not treat. It's very obvious. Also, they took my blanket once to get washed and it took two days before they had a replacement to offer. I think maybe if they addressed the reception staff issue, the mold, and were more respectful about noise after their own posted midnight quiet hours, I could give it a higher rating. It's good if you want to meet people and maybe do some coworking, (costs extra) but I probably wouldn't pay this much for a dorm bed again.

Neat hotel co-work location in heart of action CDMX w fun community activities and lots going on… good place to meet people from all over world…great wifi, good food and convenient amenities close by… only observations would be that the Selina attracts a younger demo and the place tends to be busy and noisy at times w the activity…not a place for peace and solitude but for more for meeting others, social engagement etc… also rooms are constructed in way that noise travels quite a bit so if you’re light sleeper pack earplugs and melatonin. Cleanliness of hotel could be bumped up a notch but rooms for most part are comfortable and clean-ish. I enjoyed my stay and would return on my own.

Not as nice as other Selina hostels we’ve stayed at. The building was a bit run down and the rooms needed a bit of refurbishment. No water offered for the most expensive rooms. However, everything was very clean and the staff were extremely helpful and attentive.

Pros: Ok wifi avg on the guest is 5 up/3 down, cleanish room, cool common spaces, kind/attentive staff. Location is alright, kind of dangerous at night, but 15 minutes walking the the Zocalo. Cons: I’ve stayed at a few of the Selinas now and they are overpriced hostels with good marketing. The common areas are nice but some of the decoration money should go into fixing bathrooms and providing a better living experience for tenants. The kitchen is under-stocked and pretty disgusting. There were no forks when I was staying and was a trash smell. I usually cook in my hostel, so I bought a new sponge and in this case a lighter which both disappeared almost immediately. The walls at their hostels are paper thin. You can hear everything your neighbor says and at this one, the wall did not go all the way to the window, leaving a gap between my neighbor’s room and mine. Considering what is charged per night, I would assume the room would have 4 complete walls. The noise was okay, but my neighbors were smoking weed in their room, causing my room to smell like weed because of the gap. I have been living in hostels for a year now and prefer to stay in places that spend a little less on “window dressing” and more on their living spaces. Im disappointed in the Selina operation on the whole; was really looking forward to staying as it seemed like a digital nomad’s home. I will not be staying on any of the properties again, and will be warning other full time traveler friends as well.

Did I Mention Welcome Drinks!!! Free Salsa Class!! SlackLine Class! Movie Night! Do not expect Hotel Quality Bathroom Because Hostelers do make mess often and maids are not cleaning 24/7 like Roomba Robots. Only Hostel with Movie Room! Cinema Room! Firstly the positives before I summarise the many negative - Well located in Centro Historico close to Salto Del Agua metro. - Walking distance (15-20 mins) to the Zocalo, Palacio National, etc. - Generally helpful and friendly staff Negatives: - Check-in queue: long wait to check-in with only one member of staff occupied with chit chat to the guests in front for some time. - Cockroaches: Getting into the room to find a number of dead and alive roaches on the floor, at least 6 or 7 in bathroom and around and under the bed. The room was also dirty. In fairness, a replacement 'upgrade room' was promptly arranged however this didn't appear to be an upgrade as it did not have a balcony. - Noise and vibration: There were numerous sources of disruptive noise throughout the night which made sleeping continuously almost impossible. Noise from a generator in close proximity which also made the floor and our bed vibrate/move. Very poor sound insulation so any doors closing in corridors were very loud in our room. - Lack of light and privacy: Our room had one window facing into an internal courtyard, which corridors, and numerous other rooms also face into. Therefore no ability to have daylight and privacy at the same time. - Hot water - there was a boiler problem which meant no hot water on our second day, which was resolved by the evening. Also worth knowing, the balcony of the first room 'Deluxe Double Room' we had booked is not a private balcony but shared.
