Riad Flamme D’Orient & SPA

I was unsure how many stars to give this riad. The service deserves 5 stars - huge thanks to AbdeSalam and Mohamed for being so helpful and welcoming. As for the riad itself, here are the pros and cons: Pros: • Excellent location near Jemaa el-Fnaa (behind Café de France) • Traditional Moroccan style • Friendly customer service • Daily breakfast included • AC and Wi-Fi available • Mint tea and pastries on arrival • Room cleaned and towels changed daily • Walking distance to souks and restaurants Cons: • Very old building • Noisy - thin walls and loud doors • Low doorways (watch your head!) • Outdated bathrooms with a moldy smell • Strong fragrance in the building • Saw cockroaches in the room and pool area There are two buildings: the main one (some rooms and for check-in and breakfast) and a second one called “Terraces” where we stayed. It’s a short, safe walk between them. Our room was basic but had essentials like a safe, shampoo, and tissues. Overall, great staff and location, but the building itself could use updates.

The service was amazing. The receptionist assisted us with all our questions about the local area and where we were going after our stay. The food was delicious and the pool was refreshing!

Friendly staff, the people made the experience so wonderful! Such a beautiful riad, I was in awe. They welcomed us with Moroccan and were so helpful throughout our trip. I would definitely recommend staying here. My only suggestion for improvements would be to invest in extractor fans for the bathroom as it can get very hot and humid.

We stayed 4 nights in Marrakech. The hotel was great and the personal made it such a nice and pleasant experience. They were always ready to help when needed. It was in the perfect location and the rooms were nice. I highly recommend this hotel

We arrived late in the evening and initially put in a room in the annex building which looked nothing like the room we'd seen in pictures on the site. We made do because we were tired, the following day we were offered to move rooms into the main building which was better. Overall the room was small and basic and didn't feel worth the money we paid, although it was in a great location next to the main square. The most frustrating bit of the stay was that on two occasions the house keepers took our towels and did not replace them. When we asked for towels we were told they'd run out. Difficult to believe when they have a spa on site! We had to pester several times, they didn't appear overly bothered and it was the next day before any towels appeared. What baffled me was why did they remove the towels if they didn't have any to replace them with?! We'd have happily used the same ones again.

Our room was not in the central Riad, but in their property around the corner (50 meters). This was fine as there was no degradation of quality. The check in process was very personalized as the manager took the time to explain the riad amenities as well as the local attractions in the medina. The hotel was immaculately clean. There was very little difficulty finding the location, as it was just off the Jemma El Fna and signs clearly marked its location (although signs indicated the old name of the property).

Firstly the Riad seems to have several names and was difficult to find. Then the driver failed to collect me from the airport. However: it is a delightful little riad, perfectly situated near the Jama al Fna square. Its rooftop restaurant was good, although the service was slow. The room was simple and comfortable. The staff were an absolute delight: charming, helpful, intelligent and a lot of fun. In particular I would mention Abdeljalil.

Very good loction and staff are friendly

Enkelt men rent och trevlig personal. Altid vänliga och villiga att hjälpa till. Fixade utflykt och transfer. Ligger centralt vid nattmarknaden men ändå lugnt och skönt. Fin frukost med lite variationer.

La ubicación excelente , solo que se escucha mucho ruidos desde las 6 de la mañana y no se puede descansar más , también hay que tener cuidado si te hospedan en el otro edificio porque las habitaciones son diferentes a las que ofrecen en fotos. La atención del personal es excelente.

Personale cortese ma le camere sono piccole e rumorose e necessitano di ristrutturazione. La pulizia e l'igiene lasciano molto a desiderare.

Je suis scandalisée par les tarifs pratiqués. J'ai payé plus du double que mes collègues. lorsque j'ai réclamé on m' a renvoyée vers l'agence Hotels. Com; J'attends des explications!

L'hôtel a changé de nom juste après la réservation, et apparemment ce n'est pas la première fois. Le Riad a besoin de rénovation, il y a une odeur de moisissure dans les chambres et le mobilier est très usé. Le petit déjeuner est presque inexistant, ce qui est regrettable pour un Riad se voulant traditionnel. Le personnel était sympathique et serviable, sans plus.

Das Riad ist ganz am Ende einer enge Gasse, nett gelegen, schöne Dachterrasse. Aber Mann wollte uns umbuchen in ein anderes, "da es voll sei" nach freundliches ablehnen unsererseits war auf einmal wohl ein Zimmer frei.... Aber sonst tolle Lage, parken in öffentliche Parkhäuser und dann max. 10 min zu Fuß. Restaurant auf dem rooftop nicht ausprobiert aber sah nett aus. Frühstück gut.

Opzeg ik vind riad mooi en netjes maar ik mis bepaalde simpel dingen zoals kapstok , tv . Föhn... en kamer die we hebben gekregen was klein. Ontbijt mag meer uitgebreid worden . Maar in het algemeen is oke! Hassan van receptie bedankt voor jouw uitleg en jouw tijd .
