Welcome cookies was awesome, we arrived at the hotel at midnight and was handed this delicious warm cookies which made our night. Room was clean and had a free shuttle to the train station early in the morning. So our stay wasn't long but had a good lasting impression

Very friendly welcoming staff. In lovely position right opposite Hagley Park and lovely walk to Botanic Gardens and city.

We loved the view of the garden surroundings from our ground floor room. The breakfast buffet was had everything we could ask for. Again in lovely surroundings. Our only comment would be the airconditioning blowing down on the bed which affected our sinuses.

Lots of construction. Roof repairs ongoing. Offered an upgrade but wanted us to pay for it. Beds were uncomfortable. Cookies were a nice touch. Close to park and botanical gardens.

The room was a little outdated, the bed was very uncomfortable and the Ac wasn’t working properly. Also, the water faucet had an issue and no cold water was coming out

Nice hotel with lovely gardens. Out of the way and shuttle has inconvenient hours (first leaves hotel at 10:30 and last time back is 4:30). Be prepared to walk the 30 minutes from the city centre or to get an uber if you're interests are more city-focused. Also check with any tour operators ,because some do not pick up at the hotel because it is out of the way. Food was good, service was great, but not the place for you if you want to be in the CBD.

This is a great place to stay in Christchurch near the botanical gardens and a lovely walk to the city center. I wish we could have taken advantage of the included breakfast on our last day but our flights were changed and we had to depart before it opened. Friendly staff and wonderful warm cookies. The rooms are a little dated and there was some rubbish that was not picked up for a period of time. I would definitely stay here again

Very nice hotel, interesting architecture, lots of green gardens, food was excellent. A park and golf course across the street, botanic gardens there is awesome and free, a 10 minute drive into downtown on the other side of the park.
