Shining Star Beachfront Accommodation

I got there after the office closed, and left before it opened, so did not interact with staff.(I had prepaid, and a key was left out for me. Loved the room, like a log cabin or chalet. It was very comfortable, had a nice deck. Just steps from the beach. Nice stay.

The cabin was clean and comfortable. The location, on the beautiful, rugged beach was so beautiful. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean.

Wifi was useless and limited sound proofing between rooms. Bathroom was shabby, cheaply built and dated. Partner slipped on the slick metal shower tray (there was nothing to grab hold of to steady himself other than the cheap shower curtain) and fell. The shower wall liner was only thin wet room wallboard (seratone) with no reinforcing and being a larger man his hip went through the wall when he fell. There was a small solid wood shelf placed directly above the rubbish bin. He cracked his head hard (drew blood and almost knocked himself out) on the corner of shelf after using bin. Very unsafe placement. We reported both incidents on checkout. Staff took 2 phone numbers, email address and 2 card details. I asked to be informed asap as to what would happen. I returned to motel 5 times over a week to enquire about the incident. Until the last time the owner was never on site. Reception staff were unable to update me and assured me they were telling the owner I would like some contact from her. She never bothered to contact me regarding either of the incidents. When I finally got lucky and she was there she charged us for the repair to the shower and inquired as an afterthought about the damage done to his head. I don't believe we should have had to pay anything for a genuine accident caused more by their use of cheap materials. I would not recommend this property and will never go back.

Good value but room very small.

Had to wash all the dishes before we could use them. Host at the front desk was stand off ish. Bed cover was a mattress cover. Totally cheaped out

No key for patio door. Couldn’t exit via the beach unless locked from inside

Lovely little cabin . Little porch with table and chairs to enjoy a beverage while listening to the Tasman Sea. Great restaurant recommendations and easy checkin and out.

Room was a bit rustic and balcony lacked privacy as it was shared somewhat with the next room. Small bathroom, place could benefit from an update

Lovely layout...near the beach...loved the animals...

Such an adorable property! We were traveling with 2 friends and had a cabin each. Arrived in the evening and were too tired to walk over to see the glow worms unfortunately, but we woke up to alpaca and goats which were wonderful! These cabins are great. They have everything you could need. Well supplied with tea and coffee. We would have liked to stay longer.
