I liked my stay here.
The hotel is a bit dated but, it serves it purpose.
The biggest downside was the breakfast. It's a big selection but, it looked like it got re-served day after day. I took a fried egg on day three or four and it was like it was made of plastic. The pot with bacon just got more small bits of crunchy bacon at the bottom for every day that only got darker and darker.

Check in was easy. The facility has not had any (that I can tell) routine maintenance and cleaning.
The toilet seat was broken.
Hair ( not ours) on the bathroom floor.

L'hôtel est très bien, les chambres un peu dans leur jus.
Les prises électriques sont un peu vieilles et l'on n'est pas trop rassuré par l'installation électrique dans son ensemble mais ça pourrait être pire.
Une seule vieille fenêtre, aération quasi nulle. La chambre sent donc le renfermé très vite.
Literie ok.
Télé ancienne et 4 chaînes seulement.

Just across from the rail station where we arrived from Oslo and the starting point of our Norway in a nutshell tour, so perfect location for us. Also enough restaurant options across the road and along the main bit of the town including gift shops.
Staff are welcoming and pleasant. Room was lovely and spacious with the most gorgeous view of the lake and enjoyed sitting on the balcony.
The bathroom was looking a little tired and could do with modernising i.e grouting looking a bit grey/black in places, but everywhere was clean.
Nice buffet breakfast with good selection of options.

At check in, the room I was given had not been cleaned. Went back to the desk and got a different room. Elevator didn't work properly for the third floor. Only for 2 and 4. Very average rooms. Stay only if you have no other choices.

Bathroom is dangerous, floor is slippery due to showers area isn’t sealed. the bathroom door has an elevated bar that people can easily got tripped on, and that is what happened to us.

The room was a good size and the breakfast was good. The room decor was getting tired. I got two automatic emails through Expedia offering packed lunch but I got no response about contents and cost when I twice messaged the hotel asking fkr more information. Reception desk was deserted when we arrived for checking and other guests had spent 10 minutes searching the hotel trying to find someone.

Very nice location.
The room is a bit dated but mainly the bathroom doesn't have a separate shower but only with a curtain so it floods to toilet. There's only one socket and not near any table for charging. No kettle either.
The breakfast has a lot of options but was like warm or cold.

Very tired and run down, staff seemed insulted to be interacted with and breakfast was poor.
Location is amazing though, the lake is beautiful. If they updated it from the 1990s time warp it would be a great place.

Restaurant was good and modern but a lack of staff left us stood at the bar for ten minutes, went else where instead. It all seemed very empty.
The rooms were cosy but really needed updating, there was also no coffee making facilities in the room. It was cleaned daily but the cleaner let herself in five minutes after breakfast finished when we were getting dressed - not very professional and wasn’t the best cleaning, more of a tidy up.
For such a big hotel it was a surprise that there are no laundry facilities, especially in such an outdoor activity oriented area.

Everything here was so nice! The staff was friendly and let us store our luggage before we checked in. You can walk right down to the path along the lake from downstairs, and right into town from the front entrance. Plus the train station is right down the street! And the free breakfast is amazing!
