The person at the desk asked us if we were going to Machu Picchu the next morning and what time our train departed. He then proceeded to wake up and make pre-packaged breakfast / lunch bags to take with us at 4:30am !!!! Incredible service. So kind and extremely hospitable. The location is just steps from the train station. Can’t ask for more than that !!!

Wayras Hostal was great for our one night stay. It was an easy walk to the central square, ruins PLUS the train station. The room was clean, the beds very comfortable and the owners very kind. The only downside was that bottled water wasn't included, but at 2 SOLS a bottle, it wasn't much to complain about.

The woman running the hotel is very helpful and kind! There is no secure parking. Breakfast was great. Rooms were clean but cold (except under the huge comforter in bed!). Overall, it was a great place to stop for the night before going to Machu Picchu.

Very close to the train station. Room is clean, in house breakfast very nice and even provided us breakfast sacks for early train rides to Machu Picchu. Super sweet and helpful couple with a nice small garden next to the river. Building is old but kind of neat with historical looking beams inside the room. Old plumbing system but still works.

Google maps has the property in the wrong location. Maps.me has it correct. I arrived on a late train and couldn't find it, the lights were out, I called, no-one answered. I asked a neighboring hotel if I was in the right place - he confirmed I was and he knocked on the door. The bed the hard but exactly what I needed. I had a window overlooking the river. It was beautiful to wake up to the sound of the water running over the rocks. Breakfast was great. Eggs cooked to order. I could see the whole night sky - tons of stars. 'Twas amazing.

Absolutely amazing. Freddy cooked us breakfast of scrambled eggs every morning plus there was a selection of cereals breads fruit etc. Hospitality was fantastic. All needs catered for. Located near train station for that early morning start to machu picchu. A mototaxi will take you up hill into town for a couple of soles.....but the walk is nice too. Our room was clean and we had a massive bed. The view from our window was impressive! Freddy really made our stay amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This was a BNB type of place or higher scale hostel. Glad we stayed here. Advantages - 5 minute walk from the train station so a short walk after arriving from Aguas Calientes. Owner very nice and accommodating. Offered us a space heater so room was comfortable. The rooms both had king size bed, view of he mountains with quiet running creek. The ruins are just up the hill so could get there early to beat the tourist. You can walk up to ruins or town but never did - rather took a motor taxi for a dollar. Loved the peace and quiet of this quaint place. There was no downside to staying here. Well priced The Wifi did not work but it was the case all over town.
