Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort and Spa

The Hilton Vilamoura hotel was a five star experience from the moment you enter the lobby. The decor is all very resort zen style and the staff was so helpful especially during a country wide power outage! We loved our week stay and appreciated the upgrade on arrival. I highly recommend this hotel.

Once the construction is finished the property will be gorgeous. The interior is nice- very spacious. Our room was new but was cold even with the heat on. I paid for a pool view and we see a dirty pond, bushes, a tiny bit of golf course, and parking lot. I was too tired to complain especially as the staff at check in wasn’t eager to assist us. Didn’t mind the construction but the arcade was still advertised so that was upsetting to not have open. The kids play area is outdoors and our kids loved it. The bar was cozy and the bar staff there was wonderful.

Nice resort but it appears the pools are not heated and were quite cold in our mid October visit. Otherwise the resort was great and our room was large and comfortable.

Kids did not like edge of pool as was rough and cut them many times trying get out . But overall was good

Poor experience not expected from a 5-star hotel. Closer to 2-stars. This is my second stay in the complex, but based on my recent experience, is likely to be the last. Previously visited As Cascatas serviced apartments are significantly better than the hotel rooms. The two connected rooms booked for the family of four (2 adults and 2 young children) were in derelict and heavily used condition: - broken furniture in bedrooms including bent bed legs which made the beds wonky, - lumpy mattresses which resulted in uncomfortable sleep, - soundproofing does not work (pool side rooms will not be quiet enough to put and keep young kids in bed, scheduled entertainment can get too loud, albeit it cuts off at 10pm), - walk-in showers that pump cold water without any sign of warming up, - poorly arranged kitchen designed for people who do not cook, - unintuitive location of cooking utensils and cutlery (no useful instructions in sight), - blunt knives, - fitted dishwasher separated from the cabinet unit (I had to push the unit back in it's place several times), - small under-the-counter fridge with misaligned doors, - broken kitchen door hinges, - kitchen skirting boards out of alignment due to the dishwasher and fridge issues (had to push everything back in it's place just to use the kitchen), - broken crockery and glassware (chipped broken glass was missed, the staff will run the dishwasher but do not expect any quality control), - pool towel was removed by cleaning staff.

Help were not friendly.

Good hotel bones but big misses on staff training, the rooms are very small and dated. Details are missing in this hotel, things not working, staff clueless and cleanliness is not up to scratch.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Rooms were nicely decorated with good complementary toiletries, an empty fridge for your own drinks, tea and coffee making fasciities and the tv has lots of channels, including the 5 main UK ones. The free Wifi was really good. Great choice at breakfast and food was of a high quality. Drinks were lovely, freshly mixed cocktails and good choice. Pool towels were large and of good quality, the sunbeds had comfy mattresses. Free Hotel shuttle bus ran every 2hrs throughout the day and up to 9pm.at night. It stopped at the beach and the marina.

Telephone not working. Never fixed it. Could not call room service for the 3 days. Otherwise a nice hotel. Clean rooms, spacious. Nice balcony to sit out. Breakfast was expensive. €25 per person. For a family of 4, it turned out expensive. We decided to go out and eat and cost for 4 was €40. Hotel needs to think about this. Also, since i booked via expedia, i could not get HHonors points. Which i feel is not right. I am spending the money, but no credit.

Perfect hotel, location with transport into the Marina & Private Beach Club. But at the top of the list was the staff, outstanding; nothing a problem.

Large Hilton hotel with everything necessary for a great holiday. Super clean, rooms spotless, breakfast as you’d expect from Hilton and staff very helpful and friendly. Shuttle bus takes 5 minutes to get to the marina but an Uber is less than 5 euros and arrive within minutes. Not much within walking distance, ‘pavement’ residential type affair, local Spar 10 minutes walk away but plenty shops in the centre of Vilamoura.

Very clean wonderful breakfast and the staff are great. The grounds are in great condition and the outside area is wonderful

Hotel is a little tired in places. The housekeeping staff were noisy and woke me from 0800am on both the days I stayed there
