Holiday Inn Express LISBON AIRPORT by IHG, an IHG Hotel

There was no safe and none of the rooms had fridges. Airport shuttle was mentioned, but you failed to mention that there was a charge per person for this service. We asked for a wake up call it never happened. Dinner and the dining room was absolutely horrible and the service was ridiculous. Breakfast however was very good.

This is a really great property to stay at before a flight out of Lisbon. It is very close to the airport; shuttle is 5 euro and very convenient. Breakfast and staff are great!

The hotel itself was great. However it was in an industrial area and wouldn't feel safe walking around. It was close to the airport which is good.

Excellent location, clean, and friendly staff

Expedias rate for the room was more than the rate we could have paid as walk-ins. The hotel staff were friendly but the building shows its age. Our room had a huge nasty dark stain on the carpet at the doorway and into the hallway, that looked like blood. The room was clean and orderly, although very small. The beds were terribly uncomfortable with only a thin sheet over top of a vinyl protector. It was awful to lay on top of. I understand the need to protect the mattress but this was ridiculous. We took the covers off so that it didn’t feel like we were sleeping on a hospital bed. The hair dryer in the room looked like it was 60 years old and had melted and burnt edges. It sparked when my mom used it. The temperature controls were not accurate so setting a comfortable temperature involved quite a bit of guesswork. The continental breakfast was very good and otherwise the hotel seemed clean and well kept. They do offer an airport shuttle for $5 euro per person, but I felt that this was a bit steep. We paid $6 for an Uber and had the car to ourselves. Because this was booked with Expedia, there was nothing that could be done or changed. I might have tolerated all of this better if I had been given a reasonable rate. $286 CDN for a room desperately in need of some maintenance/repair was very disappointing. I wouldn’t book with Expedia again and based on my experience with hotel bookings and car rentals, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone either.

The desk clerk who checked us in was extremely helpful. He gave us restaurant suggestions. Much better than the woman who checked us in on our previous stay.

The check in and out was OK. No water provided in rooms as advertised. No milk in rooms for tea and coffee. Reception did not answer phone at ANYTIME!! No bathplug. No reply from reception. My husband had to go downstairs to ask for one and had to sign an indemnity form in case we slipped in the bath!! How ridiculous, considering you can slip in the shower. Menu options are poor. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel.

It was a nice hotel for a night before a flight

Good place to stay before early morning flight from Lisbon. Shuttle for 5 euros, 5 minutes to airport. Stay somewhere else for sightseeing.

Hotel was nice and staff were great!

Nice property real close to airport. It was rather difficult to find the parking lot due to insufficient signage and lack of direction from front desk.

This hotel should only be used as a convenient location to the airport. 5-7 minutes away. Total industrial area! No place to walk, or eat offsite. The dinner that they sell is a joke. The breakfast on the other is quite good. Rooms are small. Hotel showing signs of age. Airport shuttle is NOT included, but only cost 5 euros each. Raul the driver is a lovely gentleman. Bathtubs have the drain stops removed. You have to ask for a stopper at the desk in order to have a bath!
