This review is less about the property itself than it is about the staff.
When we arrived we were greeted by the front desk staff who asked us to sit in the common room while we waited for her colleague. The common room was very nice - all shared accomodations and things to do. I noticed they had beach towels available for guests to use which is very kind. Everything I saw was very clean and tidy.
Once the colleague arrived she explained to us that there was an issue in our room - a pipe had burst and the room was unavailable, and they had no rooms left. Of course my heart sank initially hearing this, but very quickly was thrown into surprise when she said that she had arranged alternate accomdations at another guest house up the road for us - and she planned to personally drive us over.
With the care and consideration that was taken by the staff here, the honesty and integrity and just general professionalism I can't say enough good things about them. I wish we were able to stay with them so we could experience the inn properly, but I have no doubt it is excellent 😊

Amazing boutique hotel, right in the centre of Horta, with a beautiful view of Mount Pico. Very comfortable stay with air conditioning and small kitchen. Beds were very comfy. Would stay again!

Great location, clean, comfortable bed. Only issue was that there is no full time reception, at least in the off-season, so when I went to drop my bag off without notice, nobody was there. But they were very responsive and let me in quite quickly.

We stayed in the deluxe room, very spacious, clean and magnificent view of Pico and piers. Denise is very attentive and making sure we are well taking care of during our stay. Our room is on the 3rd floor of the building and there is an alley at the back of our room and we were able to park our car there and led us straight to our room.

Excellent! Got everything you need. Very comfortable, well equipped, clean. Very friendly staff, the shared kitchen is big and perfect space to share and chill out. I really liked our stay at Nereida. It is also very close to the famous Peters Sport Cafe and in front of the port whertle most of the tours depart from. I highly recommend it!

I had an amazing stay. A great location for walking to the shops, restaurants or getting a taxi. My room was perfect! The pictures on the booking site don't do the room justice! Denise made my stay memorable and I will never forget her hospitality. She carried both my suitcases to the top floor, answered all of my questions, offered suggestions and even washed my dishes! Un appartement parfaitement équipé pour un long séjour (lave-vaisselle, lave linge, congélateur, fer à repasser…). Très bien équipé et propre. Un joli petit balcon avec une vue sur la marina et Pico. Muchas gracias a Julia y Beatriz por la facilidad de comunicación y ayuda con todo. El apartamento estaba muy limpio, en perfectas condiciones y la cama muy cómoda. Está todo muy nuevo y tiene todo lo necesario.
Por ponerle algo negativo es que a ciertas horas del día es imposible aparcar en los alrededores y que no tiene ascensor, por lo que subir con maletas si te toca una habitacion en plantas altas se hace pesado.
