Property was in a very central location of shops, restaurants and bars, which made it excellent for enjoying the city. Property was very comfortable and well maintained and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good place to stay during their stay in Old Town, San Juan.

The property was as listed. However the shower was awful. There was low water pressure and the faucet kept coming off. It was also extremely loud - one night until 3:30 am. Noise is not the property’s fault but there are no windows, just wooden slats so nothing keeps out the party noise and car noise.

If you enjoy the nostalgia of being in Old San Juan, surrounded by rich culture and landmarks, then Calle La Fortaleza is an ideal choice. It is conveniently located near all the restaurants, bars and landmarks. If you don’t plan to spend much time in your room, it serves well as a place to rest after a day of touring—perfect for showering, enjoying a drink, watching TV, and getting some sleep.
However, if you plan to spend a lot of time indoors, be aware that this isn’t a traditional hotel; you won't find many amenities here, and the accommodations are somewhat rustic. While the towels and washcloths are clean, they are old and have bleach stains. The furniture isn’t comfortable—though the room claims to accommodate three people, the pull-out couch is very old and hard. You’ll likely get a good night’s sleep only if you’re under the influence. Additionally, the couch is faded and has some stains.
The dining room chairs have unattached seats, making it necessary to position them correctly before sitting down; I learned this the hard way when I sat down and the seat detached, causing me to land on the floor.
On the positive side, the place was very clean. Be sure to bring your own beach towels and toiletries. The owner mentioned that you can provide a list of additional items you may need, but we didn’t do that, so I’m unsure if there are costs involved with those items.
My cousin and I did enjoy our stay; the house is charming and centrally located to all.

My room had a lot cockroaches especially inside the couch and under the sink. I’ve called the front desk and they ingnored me, all of us 4 people had to sleep in same bed due were not able to sleep in the sofa bed.

Nice stay and amenities. Location was great too. Two concerns: air conditioning in the living room didn’t cool well and the air conditioning in the master bedroom was really noisy as if it were about to go out.
Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and appliances (big and small). Showers were spacious (water was lukewarm)
Beds were on slacks so be cautious when sitting on the bed. They were comfortable.
Tv had multiple channels and apps.
Grateful that the access to the upper rooms had an elevator as opposed to some places nearby that only had stairs.
Check-in and check out were seamless. The hosts responded to questions promptly via call or email.
Was a good stay with minor issues. I would stay here again.

Very nice property. Easily walkable to restaurants and coffee shops and sightseeing. The property is located a block from the governor’s mansion. There are police guards literally right outside your door around the clock, so it is extremely safe. The parking lot is located about a 10 minute walk away. It was surprisingly very reasonably priced. The property is right downtown, so the noise from the street can be loud if your bedroom is right at the balcony. Was not much of an issue. Slept very well. Very clean property. Located right above a delicious gelato shop. Definitely try it. :) The owners always responded quickly. Would rent again for sure.

We have stayed in Puerto Rico multiple times, but this was one of our favorite places so far. The location is absolutely perfect for walking around Old San Juan, eating, and parking our rental car. The parking garage is a couple hundred feet down the hill and my favorite pizza restaurant is a couple hundred feet up the hill. The apartment is very spacious and having a washer and dryer is so helpful since we swim so often. Even though we didn’t use the kitchen much, it’s so nice to have. This apartment even had a small outdoor space attached. The furniture is not in perfect condition (one chair had a bent leg, the couch had a couple holes, amd some chairs had wear) but everything else was so perfect that it didn’t matter. We would absolutely stay in this apartment again and we would one hundred perfect recommend it.

They had construction the whole time we was there. Every morning a 7am wake up call by tools. No one warned us of anything other than that everything was walking distance and there was a lot of space in the apt.

The location was great, right in the heart of Old San Juan. A few of things stood out as detractors. The bathroom had no counter and no place to hang towels. It was inconvenient to use due to this basic lack. There are a couple of long term drips in the bathroom ceiling, and one of them was right where it dripped on you as you were using the toilet.
The furniture overall was is a little disrepair. The chrome was deteriorated and the veneer peeling.
But the Big hassle was that the property required a picture of your credit card prior to arrival. Feels like a huge unnecessary security risk.

Location was quiet, well lit and felt safe. Inside was clean and well furnished. The AC unit in the room was not cooling the first night we were there. Once I messaged the property manager their response was prompt & they repaired it quickly. Only downside was no elevator for those staying on the top floors & having to park far but you are made aware of this way ahead of time so read all the info sent to you when you make your reservation. No complaints from me, the place was amazing & the price was better than expected for the location.
