This hotel was awesome. Perfect location. It’s only four minutes from the airport. This hotel is super clean and the staff is friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Wonderful pool and great access to the beach. The restaurant is amazing and the cappuccinos are wonderful.

The staff was so nice and the pool and beach areas very clean and not jam packed.

The property is very nice and well maintained. BUT…the beach there is wonderful…the water is warm and clean…no seaweed…soft sand…with soft waves. There’s no hustling for a beach chair and umbrella…their staff will put one out for you. There is service on the beach…so one can get food and drink without having to get up…but one can also sit in the open air beachfront restaurant and eat in your bathing suit. The pool is also nice with a swim up bar.
Evenings are easy with soft music and a fireplace bar.
My only issue is that they should restore dancing in the evening with mixed music. Even if it ends early.
The rooms, bathroom and bedding are nice.

Dining was eh, pool area was nice, bartenders were also very nice but I honestly wasent a fan of most of the speciality cocktails I got- which is odd because I’m not usually too picky about my drinks. But the broken AC for 2 days out of our 4 was not the greatest. The 2 excursions we also booked through them weren’t the greatest recommendations.

The hotel was very clean, the staff was amazing. The pool and beach access was fantastic. They allow you to utilize their beach chairs and umbrella’s for no additional fee. One issue we had was the cooling system went down a couple of times. The staff communicated through the ordeal and had it running as soon as possible

Pool bar staff was rude. Manager on duty did nothing to rectify our issue. Property was clean and majority of staff was friendly and helpful. Will not be returning to this property.

First two days we had no air conditioning and the second and third day we had no heat for our showers (cold showers eek). They waived our resort fees and gave us breakfast for the first two days because of the air conditioning trouble. However when we went to check out they didn’t clear the breakfast charge because it was never put into their system even though we were told to go grab breakfast from a front desk operator (like many other guests) and that it would be covered. Bars and places at the hotel would close 20-45 minutes earlier than what was stated too.

Had a wonderful time! They had an issue with the air conditioning and worked fast and hard to fix it. Offered fans while we waited. Beach/pool food and drink service could be better. Something to make it easier would be flags on the chairs to signal you were in need. Other than that, fantastic! Will be back again!

My overall stay at The Royal Sonesta was a great experience. The staff was great and the hotel is beautiful. The only downside was the last 2 days of the stay, the Air Conditioning is the hotel was not working which was an unpleasant feeling inside your room. Unforeseen things do happen, it just sucked it happened when it did and longer than expected. Other than that, my stay was great
