What Guests Say About Their Stay

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience at the Neruda from check-in to check out all was really great. Checked in late as flight was delayed- Christina was so welcoming and friendly. Room 32 was just so beautiful with view onto street and all amenities you need for a short break. Breakfast daily was the most outstanding quality and clean environment I’ve ever encountered! Sadly we were not able to view the spa as they told us it was fully booked for our entire stay which was sad but understandable. I believe there’s a hot tub and sauna in there and it’s situated next door to the hotel. The hotel is located up a hill but it’s gentle and such a gorgeous authentic Czech area that you hardly notice the hill when walking. The location in my opinion was perfect for us. Just below Prague castle and far enough out of centre to be quiet in evening but also close enough to walk everywhere. Only negative was that 2 nights out of 3 I didn’t sleep due to the hotel elevator making noise in our room as was close by but I still loved the hotel.

Tucked just beneath Prague Castle on the charming Nerudova Street, Design Hotel Neruda proved to be the perfect base for our five-night escape. The location is nothing short of magical—cobblestones, pastel facades, and that unmistakable hum of a city steeped in history. From the moment we stepped inside, we were struck by how peaceful it felt. The hotel carries a quiet confidence; it doesn’t try too hard, and yet it delivers where it matters. The rooms are stylish and functional, with thoughtful design touches and comfortable beds—ideal after hours of walking Prague’s winding streets. A surprising highlight? The café attached to the hotel. We popped in for lunch and the sandwiches were, honestly, delicious. Fresh, flavourful, and exactly what you need for a quick refuel without compromising on quality. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a bit longer, even when there’s more of the city to explore. Staff were polite and efficient throughout our stay, and while we didn’t need much in the way of service, everything we experienced was smooth and friendly. The hotel feels intimate, but not intrusive—just the way we like it. Would we return? Absolutely. There’s something lovely about being close enough to the bustle of the city but having your own quiet corner to retreat to. Design Hotel Neruda gave us just that—a peaceful base, wrapped in charm, right in the heart of Prague.

This hotel was a hit and miss for us. Like the other reviews have said it is a steep 10 minute walk up a hill reach the hotel. It’s a cool concept (alchemist themed) and the decor is nice but the AC didn’t seem to be cooling at all and the room felt small. The elevator was tiny and people are always waiting to use it. For the price I know there are better hotel options out there in that area. The breakfast buffet was really nice though.

This was not our first time staying at this wonderful hotel. From the checking in it was just a fantastic experience. I traveled with my mother, booking a room for each of us. We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious our rooms were, and the fact that our doors just faced each other. What a perfect set up I can honestly say that I had my best sleep out of all the hotels that I slept in on this specific trip. There was absolutely no problem with any noise from the street that are windows faced. The bottle of Prosecco that we received as able come gift was just a perfect touch. We enjoyed breakfast. There is plenty to choose from and the staff always refills items as they get low. The selection changes daily as well, and I appreciate that. As for the staff, everyone is always eager to assist if needed. Location is one of the best, just steps away from the presidential castle and short walk to many of the major sites that one wants to see in Prague. We always make a reservations at a restaurant. That’s just next to the castle 2 minute walk from the hote called Kuchyn , the specialize in Czech cuisine, and are one of the best. If you truly want to experience what Prague has to offer, this is the hotel to stay in. There are many options out there, but the location, Price and Customer Service is top-notch. We will stay here again for sure. Special thank you too manager Tereza for making our stay great.

Hotel was what we hoped for. We selected it largely on the basis of location, but did not realize how steep the hill was where it was located. This limited to a certain extent our mobility and forced us to use more Ubers than anticipated. But otherwise, a lovely small hotel, with an eager and helpful staff, good enough rooms and fine breakfasts.
