Our stay was too short

The staff at this property were extremely nice and friendly. The journey from Kigali however was stressful. I recommend renting a jeep or a car with high tires as the roads leading to the accommodation are bad.

The view from the balcony of each cabin is to die for!!! The staff extremely friendly! Food in the restaurelant limited but tasty and very reasonably priced. Now the bad news. Inside the cabins everything is so tired to say the least.The electric sockets practically hanging out. The shower so small you can hardly turn round ( and i am a slim guy). It looks to me like the owner is giving up on it... Such a shame as i really wanted to give high rating...

Tranquil and beautiful setting, lovely escape! Jojo was wonderful in letting us know about everything when we arrived and helping us organize a boat trip - accommodated late check out also. Would definitely stay again if in the area

I really appreciated the staff’s dedication to my necessities.the view from the cabin was picturesque and inspiring. I would definitely go there again for recharging my soul.

Absolutely loved this property. One of my favorite places that I stayed in Rwanda. All the staff were extremely kind and helpful. Absolutely gorgeous view and loved that they had a dock I could take a dip in Lake Kivu. The cottages themselves were very cozy and clean. Highly recommend this property for any visitors near Kibuye.

Rwiza Village is a bit out of the way from Kibuye, but it is well worth the trek! Beautiful and relaxing views. While the hotel is a bit basic in terms of amenities, you won't need anything more than what they provide. Truly, this place is a great place when you want to just escape the everyday and relax.

It was lovely location with wonderful views. Good food. But I told management that it should be advertised as not user friendly for disabled people which I am I would never have booked there if I had realised how hard it would be for me to get anywhere. I never made it to the lake.

Rwiza Village is in a lovely location. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the rooms have fantastic views. However, the very last bit of the drive is impossible in a 2-wheel drive it it has been raining and the showers are not in very good condition. Overall a great place to stay though :)

We had a very good time, the rooms (every room is an individual little house) are simple but with a beautiful view on the lake. Staff is very friendly and food and drinks in the restaurant are reasonably priced. Food is good but selection a bit narrow. The only minor negative aspect is the bathroom, it's clean but very tiny and not much water coming from the shower.

Great location but getting there even with a 4x4 was not easy. I will return to this hotel in the future but hope that the road will be fixed and improved.

I had a great time at Rwiza Village! Definitely better than I had anticipated. Pros: Great location! Amazing views! And convenient. The staff are very accommodating and made it easy for us to rent a boat and kayak directly from the lodge. We were there for 2 days and didn't need to drive to another location, which made it the perfect location. The pros definitely outweigh the cons, but here they are anyway: We booked a room w/ 2 twin beds, there was quite a large hole between the bathroom door and the wall. The mosquito nets weren't quite center which meant we occasionally awoke with netting in our faces/mouths. Recommendations: 1. Make sure you have time for your meals, they prepare everything fresh so expect to wait while it's prepared. Better yet, order food on your way back from the lake, take a shower, and it's ready by the time your done. 2. If you choose to take a boat to Chapeau Napoleon (i recommend you do), wear proper shoes as it's an uphill hike with loose dirt and rocks. 3. Kayaking is a must! We kayaked out to a natural beach, docked the kayak and had a great time in the water. 4. There are a lot of mosquitos at night - Bring bug repellent or make sure you're covered. 5. If you plan on going in the water, bring an extra towel if you have one convenient enough to pack. The towels provided by Rwiza are on the smaller side.

Beautiful view, great staff, very unique

I have already stayed at Rwiza Village twice. Once three years ago and once two years ago. Unfortunately, the condition of the cabins has deteriorated a lot and urgently needs renovation or improvement. The furnishings are also outdated. A chair broke straight away, the mosquito net had lots of holes and the toilet flush didn't work. It has great potential, but please refurbish once soon.
