A lovely hotel. We stayed only one night but it was comfortable and the hotel is in a really beautiful area.

Fresh, clean, comfortable. Very friendly, helpful staff.
Limited menu for a four night stay; room not fully prepared though: had to ask for cups, spoons, towels on arrival (none in room)
Door handle difficult - found door did not lock from the outside on first night, handle had to be yanked up for it to lock.
Having said the above, all issues attended to.

Being fair the property and grounds are nice, large free carpark and on site bar / restaurant and the price of the room was ok. However.... the bed was ancient and i was lying in a trench mattress crap with something sticking up under the sheet. I actually slept on top of the quilt. Curtain rail damaged, no cover on the ironing board, digital tv channels required a retune. Bathroom fan absolutely filthy, over paint on tiles, bathroom requires a face lift. Lovely balcony but doors and window externally needed a clean. I could ho on, limited breakfast options unless you want a cooked breakfast. I travel a lot in Scotland , overall dissapointed. Real share because this place could be top notch.

Fairly basic but nice enough room. Lot of noise from functions suite on Saturday night but did stop before midnight - not so good if you have children. Some problems getting our room key to work. Unusually small TV. However, pleasant enough for the money and would stay again.

The staff were pleasant however our room need a good clean. The carpet obviously had not been vacuumed for quite some time. The edges were full of thick dust with remnants of previous customers over the main areas. The fan in the bathroom was disgusting. I have taken photos and will be contacting the hotel management direct. hame as we had stayed there at a family celebration 10 years previously and it was very clean then.

2 rooms booked next door to each other. We had double bed and children room with two single bed
Overnight stay out of town away from busy centre. But close enough to get up next day to jump in car to all amenities and major roads.

Hotel is in a very dated & tired condition. Decor hasn’t been updated in years.
Our bedroom had stained carpet and broken lampshade. Bed mattress very soft giving impression it needed to be replaced.
Bathroom very basic. Shower over bath which leaked onto bathroom floor, consequently bottom of door warped. Toilet seat not attached properly.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.
