This was the absolute best place we stayed on our two week vacation in Ireland and Scotland!!! Everything was top notch. The suite was impeccably clean. The bed and pillows were phenomenal. The breakfast was outstanding and Jane feels like an old friend now! I rarely ever leave reviews or give a top rating but this one deserves it!

Very remote but really nice. Jane was a wonderful host with lovely breakfast in a nice space. Lots of advise on site seeing and places to eat in the area.

There is nothing but amazing things to say about our dear Momma Jane. We stayed in the newly renovated suite. Every detail and amenity was perfect. Best bed we slept in in our two week trip. You instantly feel welcomed like family here. Jane spends her mornings preparing the most DELIGHTFUL food. She even impressed my chef husband. If you are on the fence, book this spot now. Worth every penny and more. Thank you for the long talks, laughs, island insider information and the memories!

This place is a treasure. It's in an exquisite valley in the far and quiet corner of Skye, and well worth the drive. Jane is warm, welcoming, and readily shares her trove of knowledge about Skye: places, people, activities, hikes. She's a superb cook and gracious hostess: many fine, fresh breakfast options, including the bread she bakes herself, and the best granola we have ever tasted, impressive assortments of fruits and berries, etc etc etc. Our suite was new and immaculate, with many well thought-out functional and aesthetic touches.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Glendale View, so pleased to be on the lest touristed side of Skye. Jane does a beautiful job taking care of her guests, she is a fun and open person who will do whatever she can to make your stay the best it can be. The facilities are new, clean and up to date with heated flooring and USB ports around the room. The rooms are all on the ground floor so no stairs to lug your baggage up and down! All breakfasts were absolutely delicious, be sure to try the sausage and pickle with cheese on homemade sourdough, absolutely heavenly! We won’t hesitate to stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at Glendale view. Jane is friendly and helpful. She makes the most amazing breakfasts and there are so many options. She is warm and welcoming making sure your stay is enjoyable! We’d love to visit again.

My friend and I had a great stay in early June. The location is somewhat isolated but nothing is really close together on Isle of Skye anyway so it didn’t matter (we had a rental car). It did mean it was quiet and beautiful! Very clean and it seems like a lot of love goes into the property. Good communal areas. I was thoroughly impressed by the breakfast. Many options and delicious! We also appreciated the guidance such as book your dinners in advance, this hike is like this, etc. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

A wonderful bed and breakfast. Quiet, with a lovely view of the surrounding hills and farms. High quality beds with nice amenities like robes, heated towel rack, and complimentary snacks. Excellent breakfast cooked from a nice menu, with homemade bread and jam. The host is very gracious. A few minutes drive takes you to one of the island’s best restaurants.

Jane was an amazing hostess! The night we arrived, she prepared us tea and delicious strawberry crumpets, it was a lovely gesture after the journey getting to her lovely house. Her breakfasts were wonderful and she was very helpful in helping us decide which hikes/walks to do while on Skye. I cannot recommend this place enough - room was spacious and very clean, good sized bathroom too. Our room had a mini fridge that she stocked daily with some water, pops, etc. Quiet place to stay as well. I would absolutely stay with Jane again at Glendale View! Glendale View is a beautiful spot. Jane, the owner and proprietor, is a delight and her attention to detail is evident in everything, from a wonderful bed, to linens, and even her tiny honey pitchers with the porridge in the morning. She is a delight and our 2-night stay last week was a highlight of our trip in Scotland. Like much of Skye, Glendale is remote and the long one-track drive is an adventure but is well-rewarded at Glendale View.

This was the best B&B we have ever stayed in! Husband and I booked two nights and we were very pleased with the room. Spacious room with king sized bed, the decor was pleasing and meticulously thought out. The bed was more comfortable than our own bed at home. Breakfast was delicious and prepared with care. Service was very friendly and attentive. From the room, to the service, to the food, everything was fabulous. I wish all B&Bs were like this. There was nothing “cheap” about the stay as everything was high quality, from the decor to linens, but the price was very reasonable for the Isle of Skye.

In the two weeks we spent in Scotland, our stay at Glendale View was by far our favorite. Jane is the ultimate host and no detail is overlooked. She has abundant knowledge of the area, made dinner reservations for us when we arrived late and hungry, and is a superb chef! The room we stayed in was so comfortable and I had some of the best sleep of my life there. The accommodation is also very roomy, something that most rooms in Scotland lack. The area is remote, but that was exactly what we were looking for. I'll forever remember eating breakfast in her beautiful breakfast room watching the sheep graze on the nearby hills. A truly memorable stay and a lovely, lovely host.
