The room was much smaller than expected. The smallest room I have ever stayed in, more prison than hotel. Only stay as a last resort to be close to the airport.

As the name goes budget this place is great value for money. However, I caution you that guests are very loud, the floors and walls are thin. I don’t blame the hotel for the noise from guests but something worth considering when you are thinking about the Ibis Budget. It’s close to the tram for traveling into Edinburgh.

We booked a twin room however the room was not as expected. The shower was in the room itself and the toilet door was more like a wardrobe door, so there was no real privacy. It is a £5 fee for parking for 24 hours, so given that and the room layout/design, I probably wouldn’t stay more than one night. But it does what it says on the tin and was ideal for a stopover for the night.

It is a good place. It’s just that it’s very small rooms with very little privacy if staying with more than one person. The staff is great! Across the street from the Tram that takes you straight into town or to the airport. Saved a lot on Ubers by taking the tram. I would definitely stay again.

Great service, immaculate room, good amenities. Arrived late at night, friendly welcome. Only downside - poor parking, very lucky to get a space at 10 pm no idea where I’d of parked otherwise. Blocked in by a car parking behind me not in a space, struggled to get out for my early morning flight.
