ibis Edinburgh Centre Royal Mile - Hunter Square

It was great and the castle was very close

I will say that location wise it was excellent. It was about 300 feer walk from the Royal Mile. Tram from airport was great as a station was about 10 minute walk as was Waverly train station. So many tourist spots nearby but you do need.to be able to walk. Only problem with room was almost no area for putting clothes. No drawers just a table and pullout bed top. There was an area for hanging a few things up. Bed was very comfortable after long days of activities. Security seemed a top proiority for entering property which was great. Other than room storage we recommend this hotel.

Everyone and everything were great. Only suggestion would be if you were to book it is to ask for a room not overlooking the back alley: lots of late night noise and partying.

Easy location, nice rooms, helpful staff and free snacks

The only negative was check-in. There were many guests to check-in, and only a couple staff members to handle the crowd. This is a huge hotel with approximately 10 check-in lanes. Not sure why they were not in use.?

Booking in straightforward and efficient. Hotel good enough location. Wouldnt have minded porridge as a breakfast option. Staff would look more professional if they wrere to discard red fleece and opt for more professional look ?

Staff members were great!! Food was good. Very clean. Room needed some shelves or drawers since we there 8 nights.

Room didn’t have safe as advertised. No wash clothes. Beds ok. Hotel nice otherwise. Great location and reasonably priced.

Good overall but as it was in the centre of the royal mile it was quite noisy at pub kicking out time (3.am)

Great, great location

The location is faultless, it’s very convenient to get to the hotel on foot from the station and it’s very central however the room was very dark even when all the lights were on and it was hot as balls. We had to have a mini fan running all night as well as a window being open because you can’t change the climate control in the room. We think it may just be our room potentially as it was near the plumbing room which also was hot when you walked past. I would stay in the hotel again if those issues were fixed or potentially just in a different room that wasn’t hotter then the depths of hell.

Easy to get anywhere

A good hotel in central Edinburgh. Perfectly placed for all the tourist hotspots. There was a lot of noise at night from the pub next door and windows banging in the wind, but overall we enjoyed our stay here

We spent 4 nights in the Ibis, it was convenient location to the castle, surrounded by multiple restaurants and bars. The room was quiet and comfortable.

Absolutely brilliant stay, will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Edinburgh. The breakfast was delicious!

Lovely stay. Forgot to book accessible room so the man on the desk changed our room to a bigger room. He couldn’t have helped us more

Great location, reasonable price, and good standard Ibis style rooms, cleanliness, and breakfast. Was offered a large room facing the Main Street. Loved my stay in Edinburgh.
