Location is great! We had a big and comfortable room. The only thing , we did not like, the room was dark, we even asked a desk lamp, but it did not help a lot.

Stayed for one night on our way to Speyside.
Super convenient. We could take the tram from the airport, ( a 10 min walk).
The train station was across from the hotel, which we took the following day to our car rental place.

We loved the staff!!! Especially Shayla the Concierge 👏👏👏👏👏 she was outstanding on both our first two nights and our returning 1 night after driving through Scotland. She was exceptionally welcoming and helpful and we were thrilled to learn that she too was Canadian 🇨🇦. She made our stay at the Leonardo Royal Edinburgh that much better 👏👏thank you Shayla!! Our only glitch was that despite a visit from a technician, the TV in room 209 is NOT working. It will randomly change channels and change the volume without warning or prompting and in fact we couldn’t even get it to stay turned off - we had to turn its switch off. This was a minor glitch and everything else, including Shayla and the other staff interactions were outstanding.

The hotel itself was very nice and very convenient to the Glasgow Waverley train station. There was a lot of surrounding street and building construction with noise and dirt. Travelers thinking that the hotel is just one block off the Royal mile should know that the one block is up a steep slope (with steps).

It was amazingly close to everything Edinburgh. The room was spectacular, the front desk handy and quick. The breakfast was ample and hearty (even with just one expresso machine working [out of 2]). Shopping and historical landmarks were just around the corner.
The Edinburgh train station literally across the street. I and my significant other would highly recommend Leonardo. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a beautiful hotel in the best location! This hotel was conveniently located near the train station and the Royal Mile - we had no issues just walking almost everywhere we wanted to go. It has beautiful rooms and the best people working there. It was perfect for my husband who uses a wheelchair as well, which was absolutely essential for us. We would go back in a heartbeat!

I feel that the place was a bit pricey, ALOT of construction going on at the hotel. The Breakfast was amazing though!!
Called for a wake up call and they called 3 hours early, apologized and then never called back at the correct time. Good thing our Flight was delayed!

Loved this hotel. Brilliant location, so close to Waverley Station, wish we’d got the train to Edinburgh! Greeted at hotel with Prosecco and a complimentary upgrade. Room was spotless. Free bottled water, replenished, daily. Water, biscuits and fruit in reception everyday. Very convenient location, easy to get to everything. I would recommend asking for a room that isn’t adjoining to another room as we could hear the person next door, snoring, their alarm and coughing but that is the only downside of our stay there. Highly recommended and would stay there again.

Helpful at Reception to accommodate an earlier check in and store my case in the interim. Offered a refreshment at check in too. Very comfortable and welcoming seating area in foyer. Room was fab. Clean and comfortable with mod cons and amenities. I didn’t use bar or restaurant as only there 1 night. Will be back.

Great convenient location! It’s a couple minute walk to the train station (with no big hills or stairs). Super quick to get to the royal mile (there’s multiple “close” to cut through to get to it in a minute! Felt safe as a solo female traveller.
Only downside would be that there was construction to the building next store during my stay, however I wasn’t in the room during construction hours.
