Beautiful setting with magnificent views. The hotel manager was very welcoming and went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful stay. We would highly recommend this establishment. The self contained cottages available to rent were also superb. We look forward to returning.

A wonderful one night stay. Very nice accommodations and extremely convenient if you’re taking a boat cruise of Loch Ness and to Urquardt Castle.

Warm, friendly welcome following helpful pre-arrival communication re the restaurant and food options. We had a lovely stay at this property, our first time at Loch Ness and most eager for it not to be our last! Cosy lounges where we enjoyed platters of smoked salmon, white wine and cheeses paired with whiskey all in front of a roaring fire. Perfect! Comfy beds, lots of hot water and a delicious breakfast all topped off with outstanding customer service, nothing too was much trouble.

Here’s the updated review, revised to reflect your clarifications and stay within the 1500-character limit: Misleading and Not Worth the Price My wife and I stayed at the Loch Ness Lodge, and it fell well short of expectations—especially at over $700 CAD per night. While our room offered a view of Loch Ness, the property is not on the lake as the photos suggest. There’s a dried-up pond in front, and to even get near the lake, you must cross a double-lane road with a 60 mph speed limit. Once there, you’re faced with a barrier—there’s no actual lake access. The location is very misleading, especially for a property marketed as a luxury retreat. Amenities are severely lacking. Breakfast is included, but there’s no other dining (or even a real bar). Guests are directed to the Clansman Hotel, a sister property (3-4 minute walk away), for lunch and dinner options. Oddly, the Clansman, a much cheaper hotel, offers more amenities, including a bar and restaurant. The Lodge itself lacks these basics and has no front desk staff after 10 p.m. Strangely, the staff often ask if you’d like a cheese board during your stay and keep asking / reminding you that they need a few hours' notice. While the staff were very kind and tried their best with their resources, the overall experience felt more like a two-star stay. Misleading advertising, sparse amenities, and poor value for money made this the most disappointing stop of our trip. We wouldn’t stay here again, even at half the price.

phenomenal staff went out of the way to help make our trip special in anyway they could. Breakfast was outstanding, charcuterie board was also worth ordering. No restaurant for dinner in the hotel with very limited options nearby

What a beautiful, intimate hotel. Literally a fire burning in the fireplace when we arrived. Staff were amazing, super helpful. Couldn't have been more pampered and pleased. Highly Recommend.

Excellent location with beautiful views of the lake. Only 20min south from Inverness, 5min north of the Urquhart castle and the quaint town of Drumnadrochit. Convenient to explore Glen Affric and local rivers. Beautiful inn, do not confuse it with similar-named hotels, this one (Loch Ness Lodge) is the 5-star property and well worth it! Very friendly inn keeper and server for the excellent included breakfast. Comfortable cozy room, lounges to relax by the fire with a whisky and read a book.

What a gem! Stellar accommodations. We are doing a road trip in Scotland and finding our accommodations as we need them. This was a treasure of a find. We enjoyed everything about it from the cleanliness, the beautiful room overlooking Loch Ness to the outstanding staff. special thank you to Gabriel. If you get a chance to stay here do not pass it by.

Absolutely loved this inn. The staff was attentive, the breakfast was brilliant, and the whisky perfect. Only feedback would be to add shower curtains.

This place! Such a hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like kings. The manager upgraded is to their loveliest room, our every request was accomodates, we were given some free perks on the house - it was amazing. And we weren't the only couple there - we saw 4 other couples, and everyone loved the place. We had charcuterie by the fire for dinner - venison, salmon, cheeses, crackers, fruit, oatcakes & the best red wine... bkfst was included & was homecooked. We absolutely loved it here!

The Loch Ness Lodge was part of a three week driving trip. I’ve waited until the end to do the review to see if we found any other place that ticked all the boxes in the same way or better. We were warmly and professionally treated by each and every staff member (from the general manager to the breakfast servers) from the initial greeting to the hugs goodbye. This small hotel is exceptional in comfort, views, warmth and friendliness of each and every person on the staff to the best breakfast in Scotland! We loved sitting in one of the two salons where the fire was always going to enjoy wine, whiskey and friendly, informative conversations. We loved it so much that we extended our stay and considered canceling some plans in order to return before we left Scotland! The overall “feeling” of Loch Ness Lodge and its remarkable staff is unparalleled! We will return!
