Booked a midweek overnight stay for my wife’s birthday and were given an upgrade on arrival.Lovely sea view and king size double room. Great choices for food and drink in the restaurant or bar. Leisure suite was excellent and very relaxing. We’ll definitely be back.

We stayed in a Courtyard room. Very dated and in need of modernisation. Room had an old, tiny tv which was insufficient for the size of the room. Beautiful sea view though. Would have expected the interior of the room to be nicer for the price we paid. Breakfast was average.

I never normally writes reviews but I feel I the disappointment from Seamill Hydro. The view and beach were incredible, the hotel itself is beautiful but the room was shocking. We paid for a superior room but were put in a standard room, when questioned the hotel staff said its a misprint on the website and insisted it was the right room. The room was dirty and dusty with marks all up the wall; half the lights didn’t work; the window was jammed open, which was good because it was boiling with no aircon; the curtains didn’t close properly so there was a street light shining in all night; the toilet didn’t flush properly; the bath panel was part off & the drain stopper was broken; and to top it off my plate for breakfast was hotter than the food itself and burned me.

A very well-appointed hotel with good leisure facilities if you stay long enough to enjoy them. The one downside is the breakfast arrangements. In the past, tea and toast were brought to your table. Now you have to queue up to make your own, if cups are available. The quality of the fare is, however, still good.

This is the 3rd time i have visited Seamill Hydro. This time, we were in the ‘flatted section’ of the hotel. This was a first having previously been in the main building. I did notice a big difference in the quality and cleanliness of the room. We had to get room service back to the room to deal with a couple of issues which was done promptly. Staff were excellent as per and the food was 10/10. Would still revisit but would be requesting a room in the main building.

As much as we enjoyed our stay ..room was dusty and foul smell from drainage in bathroom ..this was dealt with quickly ..furniture ..decor tired and outdated ..
Staff were all very pleasant ..mannerable ..and worked hard
Pool has been the same for years and years ..property just needs some money spent on an upgrade in order to justify the cost of rooms etc
