The Lovat, Loch Ness

Very expensive for what it is. Lovely staff but this hotel should be so much better considering the cost.

For the price, this place disappointed. Welcome toddies were offered at check-in but a non-alcoholic option was only available for a charge. The bathroom needed attention (e.g., toilet ran, shower door off its track). Dinner at Station Road had waitstaff that was not versed in the menu and a wee bit frenetic, as well as unaware of pre-booked vegetarian and birthday requests.

Great location. Exemplary property, almost right on top of the locks into Loch Ness. Wonderful experience in its totality. Definitely recommend staying here!

Lovely,comfortable and cosy room. We were met by lovely staff and a hot toddy. A lovely welcome. Breakfast was amazing and a real taste of Highland hospitality. Would definitely recommend a visit

Very nice place

We had an excellent stay was amazing. We loved the front room with the fire place to relax after a long walk. One thing to remember if having a dinner there, the chef does a limited menu and sources local so if you are not an adventures eater there are few choices. But the food was delicious.

Everything about this place was lovely. Really enjoyed our stay and wished we'd booked two nights.

We loved this property. All the shops and pubs were walkable. The walk down to the lake was also quite beautiful. Our room was very comfortable. The staff were very nice and accommodating as well. This hotel is A .

A lovely building in a great location in the central highlands. Ashame they only serve fooin the restaurant which was fully booked throughout our 3-night stay. Staff is friendly but could be more attentive and proactive to feel truly welcomed.

Positioned just outside the busiest part of town yet very convenient for everything. Charge points in the car park (charge point Scotland, and Tesla) were very handy for us EV users. If anything a little too warm at night (tho’ I suspect non-British or ‘maturer’ visitors appreciate it warmer.

First stop on NC500 - hot bath was very welcome after a long 10 hour drive - Lovely toiletries MASSIVE bed that I struggled to get in to as only 5ft and had to jump up - Nice fresh cooked breakfast Lovely staff

Clean. Staff not at all helpful. Comfy beds. Terrible overpriced food. But it was clean and quaint and fun! Beautiful tub!

Amazing staff, comfy and elegant building, great extras and treats.

Very nice property and friendly/helpful staff. The room was super hot when we got there. Previous guests must have cranked up the radiators. Bathroom never really cooled down, and can’t turn off the heated floors which heat the room. We opened the windows high but you risk birds and insects. Staff provided a fan which helped bit hard to sleep when too hot. Other than that all was very nice stay.

Loved our stay here, it’s worth the price and the trip! We liked it so much, we would come back here for another vacation and stay here the entire time! Lots of easy parking available! As soon as we walked in, we felted welcomed! We were greeted with a welcome drink and was told all about everything they offered! Our room was soooo cute! We loved the fact that the TV’s came out of the beds, everything was so modern and echo friendly. The room felt so cozy and clean, it made you want to just stay inside the entire time instead of leave to explore! They even offer hot chocolate and snacks in the mini fridge. The views were also fantastic of the Loch Ness! The town is right down the street and easy to walk too. I would definitely recommend this place!

Nice room, lovely big bed and TV in the bathroom was a treat. Lovely little surprises like the complimentary hot chocolate sticks made by the hotel. Cosy sitting room with fire to enjoy your drinks.
