Browndot Gwangju Sangmu

Great location in the Sangmu area. Close to the subway, which is halfway between the KTX and the Bus Terminal (about 5-7 minutes to each). Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, and a short walk to 5/18 Memorial Park.

Conveniently located to the subway and airport. Lots of amenities nearby.

Was on a business trip and check in to the hotel. Overall stay was pleasant but do not expect too much from the room. If you are on a budget this hotel is great. Else go for other hotel with better comfort.

The hotel was convenient for me, it is in a good location for access to the subway and numerous bus lines. The 5/18 Memorial park is a short walk away. Overall, it suited my needs well

A lovely and very reasonable hotel in Gwangju! The breakfast was a nice bonus as well, you have to pay a little extra but it come with a choice of Korean or American, sometimes Mediterranean, styles. I would definitely recommend!

Checked into first room, gave us wrong room. Had to move to next room, and door didn't work... so we had to move again. Currently in the third room (after hours) and we found that the bed has blood stains, and the robes have a big strange yellow stain. The towel has 4 holes (3 big and 1 small). So it's not clean and probably too late to change/ fix it(especially when we already changed 3 times). The original check in took about 30mins. Overall me and my friends dislike this hotel, especially for the price.

Hotel was nice and big and cozy. Unfortunately most of it was under construction when I went. My shower didn't have curtains so the water splashed around my bathroom. Otherwise everything else was nice.

Location was good for me lack of cafe bar restaurant staff were friendly and helpful

The heater was broken, water heater had rust in it, and my bed looked like it hasnt been washed due to the wet stain and marks.

It was clean, quiet and reasonable price hotel. I saw a lot of foreigners in this hotel

Overall, our stay was average. The service was average. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, although we had some challenges. First, there was the confusion with the air conditioning (there is one remote for lights, television, and air). Then, there was some electrical issues (nothing was turning on). We went to the front desk, and they quickly fixed the problem with one switch of a button. The complimentary breakfast wasn't anything memorable (Korean food for my Mom, toast and tea for me). While located in the business district, it was difficult to locate the hotel via taxi. For English speaking travelers, I recommend taking a photo of the hotel location for your taxi driver. Also, the pronunciation of Firenze is "Pirenche" (phonetically Pee-ren-che) as there is no "F" in the Korean language. If anything, you are walking distance from the downtown Ramada Hotel and Outback Steakhouse. Also, you are walking distance from a subway station. If we were to book a hotel again, we would probably find something in the Dong-gu district (where there are more shops and restaurants in Chungjang-ro).

Nice! well built hotel ..But, when we walked in to the lobby there was bad food odor,rotten unbearable fish smells all over the hotel, friendly staffs,comfortable bed,

Nice enough hotel, decent but definitely not top drawer. A good choice for Gwangju, though, which doesn't offer too many luxury hotel choices. Two definite drawbacks for westerners used to certain levels of comfort . . . a VERY firm bed (as in hard-as-a-rock) and a sad included breakfast. For a decent breakfast, head out the door to any number of franchise coffee shops in the area.

The staff were kind and I got an upgrade to deluxe business room for overbooking. Although it seemed like a bit old fashioned, the room was clean and cozy.

Our hotel stay was fantastic but what made it the best was the very accomandating hotel staff. The employees of the Firenze Hotel were some of the best employees I have came across in all of my experience within the service industry.
