Golden City Hotel Dongdaemun

The hotel was very convenient to the metro with a good selection of restaurants nearby. The bath was not very clean and it would help if the toilets were outfitted with bidet because we could not flush toilet paper

Helpful staff, clean room and handy amenities.

Property is old and run down. They did not clean our room during our stay I had to ask. Although I don’t think they clean at all. Hair was everywhere, stained sheets. If could’ve booked another hotel and taken the financial loss I would’ve.

This hotel is located at the fringe of the light industrial area and is a good 15 mins train ride from the shopping zone. Convenience stores are located in close proximity. Some fixtures are in run down state but still workable. Wifi is provided but intermittent. On a whole is a value for money.

Excellent Hotel very nice clean warm rooms very clean , The front desk staff very friendly very help full we ask for any directions they print out & guide us on the map very very helpful only one thing they let us wait for check in time til 3 pm dont even give room 1 hour early should not be so calculative.every day free 2 water bottles 2 tea bags & 2 coffee bags too, about 10 mins walk to Seoul metro station.

The cleaner ahjumma is soo kind, the room is clean but it was quite small. The condition is very good, staff was nice but they cant really understand english.

There is a 24 hours convenience store juat beside the hotel, a subway within walking distance, many delicious resaturant nearby, clean and decent room and all of this at a affordable price. What a deal!

I stated there for 6 nights. Overall, it is a real budget class hotel.

Great price and comfortable! It's not too far from the subway station and they even provide bottles of water everyday and coupons for free beer!

The hotel is located near the train station - Janhanpyeong Station - Exit 1. It is just about 5 mins walk to the train station. There is a convenient store at the 1st level which is just in front of the check in counter. Staffs speak well English.

Great and comfortable stay for couple, not recommended for family

Hotel was comfortable and the bed was also great. No issues other than the hot water in the shower kept momentarily getting too hot.

The hotel was very comfortable, spacious and we'll set out. Hotel staff weren't helpful enough for my liking, when I asked about a place to wash my clothes they had absolutely no idea and didn't offer to find out until I promoted them. Shower was good but every 30 seconds it would have a rush of boiling hot water? Dodgy plumbing? Who knows. All in all a comfortable hotel with a great view (14th floor room)

Taking family holiday at Seoul from 30 of November to 7 December 2015. Overall the hotel is new and comfort to stay. The housekeeping is good and you don't need to worry about it. The distance to the Metro Station is just 5 minute walking and the bus station is nearby to the airport limo bus which is convenient and save cost compare to take taxi which is much expensive. It considered good for hotel staff to be able to speak simple English for communication. Besides, there is one convenient shop set up inside the ground floor which supply most of the grocery needs for visitor which include foods and drinks The only set back are 1) The front desk has mistaken to give us one two person stay bed room whereby our booking is for triple - one double bed and one single bed. This has caused us to trouble to check in the room and check out for exchange a correct bed room when we are very tired for just arrival 2)The housekeeping staff on duty is not clear on the number of guess stay in the hotel room considered we are 3 of us to stay in the 1 double bed and 1 single bed and always give us 2 bath towels. We have to call the front line to ask for additional towel. There is no coffee and tea supply on the top of the mineral water which I think the hotel should considered to provide as a complimentary.
