Nice place to stay

Very professional establishment. The staff are very respectful and the hotel is beautiful.

We stayed in the apartments. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous and lovely. Overall, it was a great stay. Sofa could be softer. Had washer dryer and an LG styler. I booked the Suite at Grand Mercure Imperial Palace during my stay in Gangnam, and it was amazing. From the interior decoration to the our hotel room, everything was immaculate. All the staff were very friendly and professional, offering help whenever they can. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gangnam, as the location was perfect. It was minutes way from subways and bus stops, which made it incredibly easy to travel around. If I'm ever back in Korea in Gangnam, I plan to stay at this place again!

There are a lot of eating places in the other part of the town as compared to this

Great property... Really liked our stay

The property is very beautiful - it‘s a real palace. However it‘s pretty far from most of the attractions and the closest subway Station is about 10 minutes walk. In the room there is an air conditioner but you can not control the temperature - as I was told by the receptionist it‘s central air conditioner for the whole wing and they can’t change temperature - so couple of evenings I found myself getting really cold with about 20 degrees in the room and tons of clothes to keep myself warm after shower

The lobby looks nice. The check-in counter staff were also friendly. However, one major disappointment was that as soon as I entered the room, there was a strange smell. The odor was unpleasant to the point of discomfort. Later at night, when I returned, unpacked, and tried to take a shower, I found that no water was coming out of the shower booth. I had to wait for almost an hour. Eventually, I requested a room change. I hope such issues do not happen again in the future, and it would be great if the rooms had a cleaner, fresher scent.

This was an overnight in Seoul on our way back to the states. It was Christmas time so the lobby was super decked out! Unfortunately the Suite we reserved was anything but. It did have 2 rooms but minimal furniture and decorations. The bed was a Queen (not King) and furnishings looked about 30 or 40 years old. I think there is a newer wing that might be nicer.

Place smells like cigarettes. Housekeeping does horrible job maintaining consistency. Place is frugal with toilet paper

Location wasn't optimal. Staff was hit or miss for front desk. Some days find a friendly staff, other days not really. Nobody spoke English but the housekeeping and concierge were nice.

Everything was better than I thought

I don’t find the staff professional and well-trained. My room smells cigarette smoking on every furniture and the carpet. Their gym is good.

Weird property and not really 5-star. More like 3-star.

I visited from Oct24 -Oct27. Our room was very hot and humid, tried turning on the A/C but it was not working. When I called and complaint they told me that they turn the A/C off because it's not the season.... really??? I paid $400 a night with no a/c... The room smelled moldy.... will never go back.. This hotel is very old and just micky moused the remodeling... please stay away and look elesewhere.

This hotel is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The hotel lobby is clean, but the moment you get off the elevator to your room after checking in, there is an unpleasant smell. The room also has an unpleasant smell. The air conditioner is so loud that it is difficult to sleep. I made a reservation for 2 nights and 3 days, but I checked out in the morning after 1 night.

It seemed like the hotel was nowhere near ready to be re-opened. There was an issue with our first room - water leaking from the shower so we had to change the room twice, but the room we ended up with also had a few issues. Water tap just comes off because it wasn’t fitted properly, the desk chair was broken, bed not comfortable, room service not ready. The biggest disappointment was the pool - we booked specifically because it had an indoor pool and it was never opened. The water was dirty and green so it was never ready. They also don’t offer room service yet as it’s not ready. Breakfast was nice, room at the back of the hotel were quiet, some of the staff were friendly and helpful - but overall, disappointing stay. They need a lot more work for this hotel to be ready for guests. 재오픈 준비가 제대로 되지 않은 상태로 무리하게 오픈하신 것은 아닌지 하는 생각이 듭니다. 객실 샤워 부스 물이 새어서 객실을 변경했는데, 변경 후 객실도 수도꼭지가 그냥 떨어지고 의자 반이 꺼져있는 등 문제들이 많았습니다. 객실을 세심하게 체크하고 준비한 흔적이 없어 너무나 아쉬웠습니다. 가장 큰 문제는 실내 수영장인데, 분명 예약시에 예약 사이트와 호텔 홈페이지를 다 체크했을때도 실내수영장을 운영하지 않는다는 공지는 없었습니다. 신랑이 이 호텔을 선택한 가장 큰 이유가 실내수영장이었는데 아무 설명이나 보상도 없이 그냥 '준비중'이라는 표시만 있고 이용을 할 수 없어서 매우 실망스러웠습니다. 수영장 물도 더럽고 누군가 청소를 하고 있는 것도 아니었으니 오픈 계획이 없으신건가요? 그렇다면 예약 시 분명히 공지가 되어야 한다고 생각합니다. 스탭 분들은 대부분 친절하셨고 조식은 전반적으로 괜찮았습니다만, 숙박객이 아직 많지 않아서 밥을 며칠간 놔두시는건지 하루는 흰 밥이 쉬어있어 아쉬웠습니다. 전반적으로 실망스러웠고 수영장 사용 불가 부분에 대해 보상을 요구하고 싶었던 스테이였습니다.
