My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at the Star Hostel Suite. From arriving to leaving the staff was very kind and helpful. The location is super convenient. We would stay here again when visiting Korea again. Thank you so much! Also the free breakfast is a nice touch. It is a very simple set up, but good and does the job.

Friendly staff, had a great time during my stay. Very convenient for transit and the Kwangjang Market closeby has a lot of great food options. Free breakfast was also a plus.

They were very friendly and I had a quiet and warm stay. There is a metro station very close by where you can easily get around the city. I loved staying here, I recommend it :)

This is a great option for travelers on a budget that want to stay somewhere central in a true Korean neighborhood. We stayed 6 nights and were so happy to choose this accommodation. It is less than a minute away from the metro so great for getting around. The Gwangjang Market is across the street, and Jongmyo Shrine, Cheongyechong and Changdukgung are all walking distance. The best thing is the staff. There is limited staff so cleaning is not usually serviced but the reception guys are always friendly and happy to give you any information. Seungdo and Alejandro too but George especially has been a star and we were sad to say goodbye. My only ask would be to have mayonnaise at breakfast for the toast! Thank you star Hostel!

Everything was perfect! Went to the wrong hotel first since I think that there is one hotel and a hostel under the same name.
You get a free water purifier, free breakfast and the manager was the best.
Spoke perfect English as well and was so kind. The room was really clean !

My friend and I stayed at this budget-friendly hostel in Dongdaemun, and it offered a great experience overall. The location was quite convenient—a 4-minute walk to the Airport Bus stop and even closer to a subway station, with another station about 8 minutes away. The area had plenty of great food, shopping, and pharmacies nearby, plus a market just across the property. While the entrance is located in an alley and there are a few bars nearby, it was generally quiet and felt safe.
Our room was spacious and included a personal fridge, which was a nice bonus! The room was clean, although the building showed its age, which was reflected in some of the room’s features. One thing to note is that the restroom is a wet room, so the toilet, sink, and shower aren’t separated by walls or a door.
The basement level had a communal kitchen with breakfast and filtered water, which I really appreciated. Lastly, the staff were fantastic—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They even allowed us to store our luggage while we traveled to Japan, making our experience that much more comfortable.

Location is 10/10. A few steps away from the metro station and bus stops. 3 minutes to the airport bus stop.
Staff is very friendly! always happy to help.
Complimentary breakfast is very convenient. Bread, hard boiled eggs, cheese slices, cereal and delicious coffee.
The only thing is that the overall condition of the building is not so great. Rooms look old. Furniture is also very worn out.

When I arrived after a long day travelling, I had to book another hotel right away as this place was not as advertised and shown on hotels.com when I booked. No reception, procedure to check in as described in their email was not followed and caused a lot of confusion. Messy, unorganized, not clean, rundown, not safe or secure, I will definitely avoid

Great hostel!
First international trip, couldn’t have found a better spot. Incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff that helped us find places to explore in Seoul. Water and breakfast available. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Good AC for the hot Korean summers.

There are two Star Hostel nearby. One is real hostel with shared bathroom and toilet, another one is suite that comes with individual toilet and bathroom.
Location is good which is just few mins walk from metro. Just be careful that if you are a female, you should walk together with a friend because there are few karaoke lounges out there. Also, it is located near Gwangjang Market, if you go to shopping area at dongdamen, you still need to walk by 15 mins.
Room is basic, little bit dated but still clean and tidy. I believe no tidy up service but not sure if it is by request. Extra towel and tissue paper are provided on a shelf in common area, you may get extra in need.
Simple continental breakfast is provided everyday. Good enough if you are not demanding.
Staff are nice and helpful, and provided suggestions for attraction in Seoul. It is very good for first time Traveller to Seoul. Seem they can also book local tour for a guest.
Overall it is good for budget Traveller who needs a room.

Loved the staff and free breakfast! Best location ever, hostel was right next to subway station and across kwangjang market. It was convenient for sightseeing and shopping at dongdaemun.
