The Grand Hotel Myeongdong

The hotel is great next to the street market and staff are friendly and helpful

So close to the MRT station and in the middle of shopping area. Lots of stores and street foods to enjoy. The staffs are so nice and helpful. There is laundry and microware in the basement to use. This is a very convenient nice place to stay.

Great location. Just far enough away for a good nights sleep, but mere minutes walk from all the action of the area. Close to subway.

We had a lovely stay at The Grand Hotel Myeongdong. We were greeted by W.S. Jung and cannot praise him enough - throughout our stay, he always greeted us when leaving and coming in the hotel, offered to help us with bookings and information needed. Thank you Mr Jung! The room was well maintained and spotless clean. The service was done daily and even on the day when we decided to rest and put the room on DND, the cleaning ladies left a bag with fresh towels and water bottles. The only criticism I have for the room would be that the door had quite a gap between it and the floor, which made noise from the corridor to be quite uncomfortable. Comfortable bed, crisp clean linen, hot water, amenities replenished. Cannot fault the service at all.

I love the location it was in! Literally around the corner from the Main Street and the train station! Down the block from all the stores and restaurants! So convienant! The staff was so attentive through email to reach out to and in person! Language barrier was no problem! Only wish their tv was more advance like US hotels where it’s connected to wifi and have applications like Netflix. There was only 2 Korean channels to choose from. So I had to constantly connect to my phone to watch a show.

We had an excellent stay in this Central Myeongdong Hotel which is actually inside the walkable markets. The description is written as 2 minutes, but it is actually in the Market area. The value is excellent and the staff are all exceptional including Mr Z Kim who made our stay quite memorable. Room was spacious for the four of us, modern and extremely clean. You will not be disappointed with a reservation at this Hotel, as evidenced by many other positive reviews. 5 Stars.

Location is literally at the heart of Myeongdong, where the night market/street food area is a few steps away. Close to a bunch of halal restaurant options, and of course VERY near to some of the sought after brands for shopping. VERY close to Myeongdong train station, which we used heavily. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, the amenities provided were sufficient as well.

The location of the hotel is in Myeongdong which is was the best part of staying there. Although the hotel is named the Grand Hotel, I would say that the rooms are not very grand at all. There were many things wrong with it. First, and most importantly, they did not have the AC on, even though that feature is listed on Expedia's website as an amenity. Upon check in, we were told that they do not turn the AC on until summer (they said this was normal for hotels during this season). Well, that was news to us. They told us to open the windows (which let all the outside traffic noise in) .One of us has asthma and a hot room is not very conducive to that condition. We were given a fan instead, which helped a little, but was not what we expected when we booked. The lights are dim and yellow. The shower head sprayed everywhere else except on you because the holes on the spray were plugged from minerals. The cabinet door to the small fridge was broken. If it were not for the convenient location to the shopping at Myeongdong, I would not recommend staying here. There are plenty of other choices in the area. We met others that stayed at nearby hotels and their AC worked just fine (had nothing to do with the season).

Boutique Hotel in midst of Myeondong while still being quiet enough at night. Room was quite small, but clean. Staff was nice, all administrative topics where handled very professionally.

Place was clean and in a very good location (close to myeongdong station 9 which seems to be the pickup point for alot of tours). Staff were really nice! I had troubles booking transport between busan -> seoul and they were happy to help out.
