Apartamentos Blancala

It was very modest accommodation with no Wi-Fi in the rooms.

We had a studio with pool and beautiful sea views. Staff were friendly and helpful and we were able to borrow parasols and beach towels at no cost - just a returnable deposit. Very peaceful break. Thank you Blancala.

The room was faultlessly clean and we had an amazing top floor balcony overlooking the pool and sea. Personally I found the bed a bit uncomfortable but extra pillows were provided and there is just a fan (no air con) but that was ok during our stay which was a bit cooler. The apartments weren't full yet so we enjoyed an almost empty pool when we wanted which was cleared each morning as were sunbeds (which you tip over after use and are cleaned during the day too). The sunbeds, and the table and chairs on the balcony, were starting to wear though. Check in was quick and easy and we took the offer of borrowing a cool bag and beach umbrella which was a great service to get for free and all the staff were super friendly. Wifi only works in reception and around the main pool which is a shame it can't be around both pools or in rooms. The apartments are well located with beaches, bars and restaurants nearby and close to Cuitadella. One thing to note was the staff weren't always wearing masks in the restaurant and this was noticeable because it's so consistent in other places around the island for staff to wear them.

We went in early October and had room 216 which is a one bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the living room. It was large, clean and equipped with most of what we needed. An oven would have been useful. There were no tv channels in English, but we didn’t go there to watch tv. A sat nav was very useful in finding the property as the one way streets on the estate can be confusing. The property is a couple of miles south of Ciutadella. Two lovely coves are 10 minutes walk away. There is a small supermarket almost next door and a couple more together with restaurants about 5 mins away. I can recommend the lunchtime menu at the Indian. There is a restaurant on site which is useful if you don’t want to go out. Also on site are 2 swimming pools with plenty of seating. Checkin was efficient and friendly. A safe in the room is available for a returnable deposit of €20. The sunsets are beautiful! It is not far to the Me1 which goes right across the island. Other roads going north and south branch off this road. The airport is about 45 mins away and is an easy drive. There is parking in the roads around the property. Menorca is a beautiful island and Apartamentos Blancala is very good value for money if you don’t mind being on the west of the island.

Hotel was well located 10 minutes drive away from Ciutadella and right in front of the sea offering beautiful sunset views. Room was spacious and clean. However wifi was not available in the room and no soap et al was provided in the bathroom. Overall our stay was very pleasant at Blancala.

Our stay first began with our room being two hours late after checkin time, this was not a big deal as we were given access to the pool and restaurant and they let us lock up our bags. What was very disapointing was how dirty our room was when it was ready. The floors we’re completely filthy with hair, dust, sand, and ants. It was clear that there was no effort to even sweep the floors. Further, the room was extremely humid and smell of mildew and old rotten food smell clung to our clothes even after our stay. The dehumidifier that was provided in the room was appreciated. The room itself was stylish and modern but it was so dirty and smelly it ruined the experience for us.

Everything was perfect, from the location to the bedroom sea view to the staff. I loved my experience here and am hoping to come back soon!!

Nice apartment, great views of the sea and nice and quiet.

Hard working friendly staff. I paid for a room with sea view and felt i had a blocked balcony and room with foiliage blocking view, whereas others who didnt pay extra had fantastic views of sea and better accomodation. That was a bit disappointing. We had a problem with shower and a repair man came round later and fixed it satisfactorily and was very polite and unobtrusive as possible.. Maids were good at their job and friendly.

All glasses, dishes etc. had to be washed before use. we left the apartment cleaner than we found it. The room was not as expected, as we were on the ground floor, but did have the requested sea view. No air con or ceiling fan in this room, so we were supplied wiith a portable electric fan. if you want 5 star accomodation then you have to pay more. For the price that we paid we were happy with the apartment and could not fault the pool area or staff.

What a brilliant place, unbelievable location absolutely fantastic owner and staff I don't often ever want to go back to a location bur I would to the Blancala. Bear in mind it is classed as 2 star B7b that's only because that's what they are happy with. The check in was very smooth and they had responded to my request fir a top level room and in all took about 5 mins. The breakfast in theory was limited but if u wanted anything else it was catered for. Room updated and perfectly what we needed and cleaned every day, towels bedding etc. Now comes the good points the manager Leo and his family/staff are exceptional and the food equally exceptional. Location is brill not maybe for people wanting a wild exciting full on holiday but for us as a couple brill. The resort had enough without being OTT and very reasonable to say the least. Weather, hotel, food and service could not be faulted. I left my email address if Leo etc every wanted to visit England that's how well they treated us both. Definitely would recommend to anyone but we all have our own standards and taste. Local buses great. The tropical key west bar with free pool and cheap drinks was also great and was the Irish pub not far from the hotel. Local Spars especially in commercial sector very good. I HOPE I RETURN!!!

May only have been 2 star, but service was top quality. Initially we weren't happy with the position of our room and so asked if we could change, which was no problem and even had a sea view at no extra cost. Another thing which was free was the safe, which was a good indication of the hotel owners, they seemed more interested in having happy guests than making as much money as they could from them. The room was cleaned every day, everything worked and we had everything we needed. All the staff were very friendly and we would have no hesitation in returning.

Wonderful hotel, would definitely return. Only issues would be that hotel was quite noisy on both nights with people sitting out on the balcony until 4am and the beds were very noisy. Apart from that everything was perfect. Amazing value. Wonderful staff. Delicious restaurant. Many thanks to Leonardo and his family for making our visit so memorable.

dont want to tell anybody how good this was i want to keep it all to myself absolute magic ,cant recomend it high enough.

Struttura carina, la nostra camera era fronte mare e aveva una bellissima vista. Nei dintorni di Cala Blanca non c'é granché ma con auto ci spostavamo senza problemi. Receptionist molto gentile e disponibile, piscina ben tenuta. Il ristorante non é il massimo, anche la signora non é molto simpatica, ma attorno ci sono tante altre scelte.

Opgedeeld in verschillende gebouwen. 2 zwembaden. Het zwembad tussen gebouw 3 en 4 was, toen wij er waren, erg rustig. Restaurant zag er niet gezellig uit dus niet geweest. Alleen wifi bij restaurant en receptie. Kamers wat gedateerd maar goed bed. Strandlakens en parasolletje tegen borg af te halen bij receptie. Waterkoker veroorzaakte kortsluiting. Bij receptie meteen een nieuwe gekregen. Rustige omgeving met in de buurt verschillende restaurantjes. Wij waren er in mei. Waarschijnlijk is het in het hoogseizoen drukker.

Trevlig hjälpsam personal. Rent och snyggt även om inredningen var gammal. Bra poolområde. Vi saknade Wi-Fi i lägenheten även om det fanns vid poolen och i restaurangen. Vi åt några gånger i restaurangen och blev väldigt nöjda.

Es un apartamento reformado, bien situado. La cama tenia un somier de madera, parecía hecho a mano, que crujía al menor movimiento que hicieras en la cama lo cual era molesto durante la noche. Unas lamparitas en las mesillas mejoraría la comodidad en la habitación. En el salón hay un sofá cama que mejoraría en comodidad también con unos cojines, Finalmente la TV tiene un tamaño ridículo unas 19 pulgadas, hoy día una TV con el doble de pulgadas tiene poca diferencia en precio. Aún con estas circunstancias la estancia ha sido agradablee y el apartamento es correcto.

Ubicación ideal, con vistas espectaculares de puesto del sol. Una piscina agradable del complejo y una piscina natural increíble al lado
