The hotel was beautiful and conveniently located. We were very tired when we arrived and we’d had an issue with the cab delivering us to the hotel and we were frustrated. The hotel staff took it upon themselves to upgrade our room so we would have a restful and pleasant stay. It was much appreciated. If/when we return to Barcelona, this will be our go to hotel.

L’air climatisée ne fonctionnait pas. Nous avions réservé une chambre pour 4 et il n’y avait plus de chambre. Nous avons dû nous séparer et occuper deux chambres séparées. Le matin de notre départ, nous avions de la difficulté à trouver un taxi et le personnel à la réception ne nous a pas aidé.

Great location, friendly staff. Enjoyed our nice big room for our family of 4 adults, nice and clean and the AC was wonderful on the hot summer days. Good walking location for site seeing. Pool area looked really nice and the spa but we did not use these services. Felt very safe in this area and hotel had security 24 hrs at the door

It was clean and very pretty, but it was very hot. Their air conditioning is that a low temperature and it doesn’t go up any higher. The pole is very small. Otherwise the food and everything else was OK thank you.

It is beautiful inside and rooms are lovely. I had some trouble after check-in. There was no coffee maker in my room. The refrigerator was not working and the TV would not operate. I did tell the front desk team about it, once right after check-in and once when I was leaving for the evening. When I returned nothing was corrected. At that point I just went to bed. Luckily there was coffee in the lobby!

Hotels.com description of the room is inaccurate. We had booked a Family Room( 4 guests). And the Hotels.com description specifically says 2 double beds OR 4 Twin beds. We are a family of 4, with 2 children. I had specifically booked this hotel so we can have 2 double beds/4 twin beds/. The hotel gave us a room with 1 double bed and a pull out sofa bed. I went up to the front desk to ask them about it. The person who worked there told me they didn't have any other room with 2 double beds and I needed to speak to the manager the next day. We went up to the front desk again and this time we spoke to a manager substitute, since the manager was "in a meeting". This person was disingenuous and condescending. He said that the room we booked only supposed to be 1 double and 1 sofa. The other type of Family Room cost 170 Euro more. He continued to suggest I call hotels.com. We pointed out to him that their own website also called it Family Room and says it would have 2 double beds. He said "this is what it means in Spain" "No one else had complained about this before". The hotel did end up offering us free breakfast which we accepted. We were in another country and didn't have the option or time to deal with the situation. The hotel itself is fine. Another receptionist was actually very helpful to us in storing our luggage. The room description should be corrected immediately to avoid future deception to customers.

We enjoyed Catalonia Ramblas location and pool were the best part. We had trouble getting housekeeping to clean our room before the end of the day which was inconvenient. Beds were comfortable, robes provided, nice bathroom and great shower! Perfect for family of 4 I’m the quad room - 2 Large beds to share. Would stay here again.

Catalonia Ramblas was an excellent choice. The location is excellent right off Placa Catalunya. The staff were very helpful. The lobby was clean and modern. The superior room was roomy and looked newly renovated. The double bed was very roomy for both of us. The bed was comfortable. There was a lot of space for our open luggage. The bathroom was also renovated and was very functional. The shower had good water pressure. I highly recommend and would stay there again.

Horrible hotel with bad customer service! From the second we walked in, we smelt a foul sewage smell and it was even worse in our hotel room. Throughout our stay, we had sooo many issues with the sink not working as well as the shower and toilets not flushing! The water didn’t work half the time, and when it would it would sputter aggressively. We had maintenance up in our hotel multiple times to fix the issue but it kept on happening! The staff except for Sabrina was the only one that tried to help. In the end, the staff did absolutely nothing but offer us free breakfast for the water problems. Do not stay here!

The location of the hotel was good. The staff was okay. The room description was misleading. We had the “triple room” which was just a double with a roll away bed added. The added charge for the room was ridiculous .The description of the hotel as “pet friendly “ was misleading. We had our medical alert service dog with us and the only place in the hotel she was allowed was in our room. Overall it was a mid range hotel. With a less than wonderful experience.

My stay at the Catalonia Ramblas was very pleasant. It is a clean, comfortable place and the staff is very helpful and professional. It is one of the quietest hotels I've ever stayed in, when I went to bed I heard absolutely nothing. This is very important to me. It's location is ideal, right near Place Catalunya and many attractions, also a plus. I would suggest opting for the breakfast buffet every morning when you book because it is REALLY good. I did not use any of the spa services so I can't comment on them. But I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying there again if I return to Barcelona.
