Hostal Besaya is great! I was very lucky to find this place. It is about as close to the metro as possible and convenient walking distance to downtown Madrid. Incredible convenience getting around. It is in a great area and feels very safe. The view is stunning.

Located right in the heart of Madrid on the main upscale shopping street. Very vibrant, lively and robust. Lots of cafes, bakeries, clubs, theaters, eatery choices for every occasion and price levels. Museums, live shows, boutique stores, department stores. On the weekends, it is so much crowded that sometimes one flows with the wave. City of Madrid for the tourist has a bus service FREE that stops to the major shopping areas, museums and the central train station in the city. The food (Tappas) is served freshly prepared at most of the restaurants, particularly the famous grilled Sardines and traditional irresistible pastries!

The hotel is only one floor of the shown building in the picture. Entrance doesn’t look like a hotel. You enter an old building and take an old elevator to the 8th floor. Rooms are small. No wardrobe, fridge, microwave, or even a safe box in the room. In general old and small rooms only to take a shower and sleep. My view to outside was other windows and hotel towels being hung to dry. On the positive side, hotel staff are very nice and friendly. Both at the desk and house keepers. Also location is nice middle of everything.

This property is steps to Gran Vía, close to nice restaurants and stores. Rooms are small and need upgrade, bathrooms are new but very…very small. Property need to provide more items in the room like blow dryer, coffee maker, save, iron, refrigerator

The room was much smaller than the photos on the page showed. While it was clean and comfortable, it was little more than a walk in closet with a bed. The AC unit leaked when on, so much so that we had to place multiple towels on the floor beneath it.
