Hotel AR Almerimar

We had a nice room with an ocean view for a great price. The pool and slides were beautiful and lots of fun. A little disappointed with the condition of the tennis court, one of the reasons we booked here, but with the rest of the property we were very happy.

Hotel grande, buenas piscinas y personal amable, .... pero ya está. Un buffet muy escaso y la única protección para el covid era que la gente se ponga mascarilla, mucha gente por todos lados en el comedor y la comida no viene tapada ni te la sirve el personal del hotel, es decir, un buffet en el que la gente coge lo que quiera como ha sido toda la vida. Habiendo varios salones para comer, solo hay abierto uno para tanta gente. La bebida te la sirven cuando te sientas, pero si quieres más, ya cuesta encontrar a la persona encargada de las bebidas para pedirle otra, no la sirve cualquier camarero. Para comer y cenar, si te gustan los fritos y las ensaladas, de lujo. Es acercarse al comedor y ya huelen los fritos, luego hay un pescado y una carne que la hacen a la plancha. Además, cada 2-3 días se repite la comida, arroz, fideua y de nuevo arroz. No espereis algo especial cada día, como puede ser un dia comida mexicana, ... Para merienda solo bocadillos y hamburguesas, nada de fruta, crema de cacao, helados (eso tengo la duda, ya que el último día vi a alguien con un helado, tal vez haya que pedirlo, pero no los tienen a la vista y nadie pedía),.... y a las 18:00h cierra, justo la hora de merendar. Faltan muchos licores, como licor de café o de coco(estilo Malibú). En cuanto a la habitación, muy chica para tres personas y almohadas incómodas. Para la playa hacen falta escarpines, muchas piedras, además está algo retirada como para estar en la playa y subir al hotel a por bebida.

Nice hotel close to the beach, but already a little run-down. The view from the balcony on the fifth floor was excellent, but the air-conditioning was noisy, I had to turn it off. At the weekend, a group showed up late at night and I could hear their talk and laughter through my room door. Breakfast was good, it offered everything I needed. The hotel was good for my business trip, but I wouldn't choose it as a holiday destination.

This hotel is a bit old, need to adjust to new times, lots of people in group. Frigobar empty no access to bottled water in the rooms.

Nice place, good area. They could be a bit clearer on what exactly is included when you pay the higher price to get the meals (Food is GREAT.). The drinks (Alcoholic and non-alcoholic) aren't included, which is not typical for Spain, but they were only 3-4 bucks anyway. They might want to just print that on the literature. Great place though, great employees.

Very much worth the price. We enjoyed the buffet. Rooms were a bit small, but the resort is spacious. Friendly staff.

This should have been a comfortable stay in what is a pleasant hotel extremely good value hotel. However it was let down by the fact that the air conditioning in the room did not work (unfortunately during an unusually hot period for this time of year) and the management's complete lack of concern or effort to rectify this, despite the AC being a selling point on the website. Sleeping in the oven style room was difficult - opening the window didn't help much and also invited in the mosquitoes. There was also a problem with the local youth coming into the hotel en mass at the weekend and using the pool and creating quite a lot of noise in the so-called adult pool, although this was also a bit of a problem with some of the children staying with their parents not particularly concerned about the fact that they may be disturbing other guests. However, the hotel was lovely and nicely maintained as were both pools. Very good breakfast buffet selection and the staff were friendly, particularly the lady working in the bar. Would stay again if the AC was guaranteed to be fixed

I cannot review this hotel as despite booking it we never actually stayed in it as it was closed for refurbishment!!!!. We entered our taxi, got to our destination only to discover we could not gain access. On further investigation, I discovered the place was empty. There were notices on the entrance doors, but as neither my mother or I can speak Spanish, we did not understand what they meant. I thought one of the words meant refurbishment but could not be sure. After 15/20 minutes, which felt like a lifetime, I noticed a worker who explained, in broken English, the hotel was closed for refurbishment to call into their other hotel, which was 300/ 400 metres away. Unfortunately, the only means of transport was by foot as there was no taxis around nor any means to contact one. My anxiety increased as my 71 year old mother is arthritic and as we had already been travelling for 5 hours her energy levels were extremely low. You may be wondering why I am explaining all this but the reason is that despite calling hotels.com, on two occasions, was I ever told the hotel was closed or we where being placed in alternative accommodation. I am appalled at this and will be making a formal complaint.

The location is the best if you are visiting the El Ejido area, the hotel is on the beach, open the sliding glass doors and listen to the surf. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. In the winter there are mainly retirees on golfing holidays. But don't expect too much, WiFi works intermittently, hot water comes and goes in the shower etc.

Estancia muy agradable, estuvimos alojados varias noches en familia por vacaciones y fue genial. Destacar el trato recibido, las instalaciones y el equipo de animación. Experiencia positiva, para repetir sin duda.

Todo muy bien excepto la política de amacas de la piscina, la cual hará que no vuelva si no veo que se haya cambiado. No puede ser que, mínimo, desde las 7:30a.m. ya están las sombrillas con sus amacas reservadas por gente con la toalla colocada, y gente que lo mismo no va a la piscina hasta la tarde. Deberían de retirar las toallas de las amacas sin utilizar y no dejar entrar a la piscina hasta que estén los socorristas y la piscina abierta al baño. Buffet no muy variado pero si hay de todo, prácticamente como cualquier buffet de hotel de playa. La habitación muy bien. Animación para adultos y niños buena.

Piscina grande masificada y sucia de césped. Dificultad para conseguir una hamaca. Debería haber alguna forma para que la gente no ocupe hamacas sin estar. fui por los toboganes piscina pequeña no recomiendo más de 5 días.si vais recomiendo reserven habitaciones nuevas y con vistas al mar .colas interminables en el bufet. Por lo que recomiendo deben ir con antelación al desayuno,comida cena.no hay café descafeinado

Las piscinas y acceso directo a la playa

Hotel masificado. La comida correcta pero estilo rancho. En la piscina había que pegarse por una tumbona. El personal de animación y los camareros muy amables, pero muy inexpertos. El ambiente del hotel era ruidoso y abarrotado. Clientes locales en su mayoría. La habitación era amplia pero necesita una renovación. No es un hotel para estar tranquilo, si quieres estar de fiesta y bebiendo en la piscina mientras tus hijos se tiran por los toboganes, sí que te puede gustar. Las fotos del hotel sugerían otra cosa la verdad.

El hotel para ir con niños chicos está bien, ojo el check out es a las 12 y debes dejar las instalaciones puntual

Comida buena y variada, buenas instalaciones y buen servicio de todo incluido, personal simpático y los animadores muy buenos

Hotel bastante decente en la zona. Lo mejor de todo la animación y los animadores, se lo trabajan muchísimo con los peques y los mayores en la noche. La piscina y el buffet demasiado masificados. La calidad de la comida buena, la variedad no tanto.
