The hotel is a bit older but keep clean and spacious, staff are friendly and helpful, but not much choice for eating but a big fruit market just right in front of the hotel 👍. Price are reasonable too.

Wanted to say thank you for the receptionist that was working this morning 21/09/24 . She called me a taxi and after 30 minutes with it no one showing up after she called the taxi company said they didn’t know how long would takes. So she asked a friend to take me to
The train station bc I was going to miss my train to Madrid. That was such a amazing thing to do… thank you so much

Arrived on a sunday for a 2 night stay no restaurant or food availability on Sunday restaurant was open Monday Only one persons on reception who had to manage the bar and reception and take food orders in the restaurant. He worked hard but
Needless to say 15 minutes for a drink??
3 coach full of people doing the pilgrims way. Food was available for them but not us had a 40 euro round trip to the town for food.
In general a good hotel but dont araive on a sunday

Hotel Castro is a clean and spacious hotel with easy and plentiful parking. It is a straightforward drive into the city centre although if you are energetic it is possibly to walk on the final part of the Camino Inglese.

A little far from town. Nothing around but the reception was great. The room was comfortable. It was good to get free parking outside the room. Breakfast was not great so we decided skip it the following day. Overall, except for the distance from town (€12 in taxi) a pleasant stay.

Out of town and just beside a big road. Not in beautiful surroundings, but easy to reach and plenty of space to park, especially if you are driving a big car and pulling a trailer. Friendly staff. Clean, except the rather grubby carpet in the room. Good supper and breakfast. Overall excellent value for money.
