Hotel Riu Palace Palmeras - All Inclusive

Loved the property. Very friendly staff especially David at reception answered all my questions and such an enthusiastic employee. The hotel is 230 rooms or so so not gigantic which I enjoyed. Plenty of lounge chairs at pool and easy walk to the beach where you do have to go down 3 floors of stairs as its a cliff. The quality of buffets was excellent and rotated daily. Would definitely recommend.

Really lovely hotel, made event better by the staff. They were attentive, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Very clean and modern pool area. Food was lovely with a wide choice at every meal.

What an amazing property. Loved the view from my terrrace on the 6th floor!! The pool below, palm trees and beyond the sand dunes and sea. Reflecting in the sun. Morevover, the breakfast is superb.

I have stayed here a number of times before - it is clean, modern, well furbished and well located 5 mins walk from either the Yumbo or the Beach. It has two good pools and entertainment nightly. It was full on my recent visit and unfortunately for some reason staff were reserving large numbers of loungers before dawn each morning for guests who actually sometimes didn't use them during the day. This was annoying as these were in the best spots which meant you had to keep trying to move around to find the sunshine. I am not sure why certain people got such service but it didnt seem terribly fair. The food I found rather predicatable and repetitive and could have done with some more imagination - it is fine, but is rather "same again" day in and day out. Compared to times I have stayed before you could tell it was full because the level of service wasn't quite as good as I have had before. But it is a good place to stay especially if you don't mind buffet food - the speciality restaurant which has to be booked is excellent. A call out for my cleaner - garden room 34. She was excellent.

Great location for the beach. Food and drink options throughout the day were excellent. I really enjoyed the extra effort made for Christmas. Evening entertainment was not always worth staying for, but hotel was convenient to yumbo center.

We stayed here with our twins and it was the best hotel we ever stayed in. The staff are amazing and so helpful, the food was out of this world and we cannot wait to return

Rooms are small but very clean, modern and comfortable with balcony overlooking the pools / sea and large bathroom with twin sinks and rain shower. Staff are all friendly and helpful. All-inclusive with a good choice of drinks in the bars and a wide variety of food in the restaurant of a reasonable standard. Choice of two unheated pools with comfortable loungers and free towels and a pool bar for drinks and snacks. Good quality evening family entertainment. Well-appointed gym. Handy luggage storage and shower facilities mean that if you have time to kill between checking out of your room and catching your flight you can stay and enjoy the pool. Short walk from the beach, Yumbo, Cita etc. Only negative was late night noise from nearby bars.

This hotel is truely fabulous. Already booked for next year. The food is amazing & so varied. There is a lovely bar which we went to every night. The bathroom is huge & the beds comfortable.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The location is ideal for the beach and shopping. The selection of food and drinks is second to none. The staff are so helpful and professional I could not fault this hotel in anyway.

Very peaceful hotel for mostly an older clientele. The inclusive half board was a pleasant surprise. The central location near the Yumbo centre makes it ideal for people who want to party but then return to a quieter hotel.
