Mercure San Sebastián Monte Igueldo

Tiene una ubicación donde la vista es única y espectacular! El hotel es bello y de mucha clase. Su atención es increíble. Tuvimos un tiempo maravilloso! La comida riquísima y muy bien presentada.

The hotel is in one of the best spot for a view of the beach, mountains and to a lesser extent part of the city. It situated at the top mountain, don’t bother trying to walk up and down the mountain regularly as it’s about a 40 minute. Drive, taxi or take the funicular train up and get discount as you’ll be a resident of the hotel. There is a number 16 bus that we did not try. The hotel bar food was good enough. The outside bar lounge was great for day views and sunset. We had misty night where we in the clouds and could not see a thing but was one of those funny moments. Hotel staff help us phone and communicate in Spanish when our car had a puncture and had to get it recovered. We had a see view room with a small balcony which was lovely. Note that this hotel shares the same ground as the small amusement park that gets plenty of visitors as we could see them posing for the best photo spot in San Sebastián in my opinion. Note once you get to the bottom of the mountain it’s about a 30-45 minute walk to the old town. We did not try the hotel restaurant or pool as we’re at the beach and old town every day. The non-smart tv had the back enclosed so we couldn’t connect a iPad or laptop to it.

Great place location location, get there early for parking though since theme park shares parking with hotel, great white cloth dining, very clean and modern.
