Beautiful Five-Star Hotel, One-Star Hospitality We booked one of the hotel’s top suites for our wedding day so my wife could get ready there. The property itself is stunning, but the service was incredibly disappointing. The day before our wedding, I arranged a surprise bouquet for my wife. Despite having a confirmed reservation, reception claimed I wasn’t a guest and sent the flowers to the wrong hotel, completely ruining the surprise. On our wedding day, we arrived carrying wedding attire, luggage, and decorations. We had already informed the hotel in advance that we would be arriving with a service dog. Instead of welcoming us, the receptionist stopped us at the entrance and made us wait outside for approximately 15 minutes while she tried to verify documentation she clearly did not understand herself. The delay disrupted our schedule, added unnecessary stress, and made us late on one of the most important days of our lives. What was most disappointing was not the mistakes themselves, but the complete lack of empathy, urgency, and professionalism shown by the receptionist. The employee who appeared to be in training was polite and helpful; unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the staff member supervising him. Luxury hospitality is about more than beautiful rooms. This hotel offers a five-star property with one-star service. Management should seriously review how guests, especially those celebrating major life events, are treated at reception.

There was nothing I did not like

This hotel is in a beautiful old villa in a lovely square in the heart of the old town. Great location and property. While some of the staff, including the restaurant servers, were very nice, the man who calls himself the manager was rude, dishonest, evasive and unaccommodating. The rooms are quite pricey, and while some are lovely, the so-called executive rooms are over-priced, dark and inconvenient with a slanted roof which makes the extra space unusable and cramped feeling. We moved to a standard room which was less expensive and at first they told us it was up to Expedia to adjust the price when it was really their call which they later refused, only telling us this when we had checked out. The toilet did not flush properly, there was a huge cockroach in the breakfast floor which a waitress stomped on with her shoe- looked like this was not her first time doing so, and the “ manager” scraped our car and did not say anything. The staff also gave us misinformation about needing restaurant reservations which wasted our time. It’s a shame such a nice property is not better managed and maintained.

Lovely welcome at reception with cava on arrival! Staff were so kind and helpful throughout our stay, their care was much appreciated. Loved the hotel, very tasteful and luxurious. Would love to return but would book a higher category room with a view of the square - our double was quite dark with view of tall building across from alleyway. We enjoyed the rooftop area relaxing in the sun with excellent food and drinks with great views of beautiful Valencia (thanks to barman for the perfect white wine sangria cocktail - am still dreaming of it)

One of the most beautiful boutique hotels I have ever experienced. The room was perfect—elegant, comfortable, and beautiful designed. The staff, from the front desk to the doorman, were professional and kind. The restaurant has great breakfast options. The hotel has an stunning Lladró chandelier and other pieces, because the prestigious company is from Valencia,something we didn’t know and we asked the front desk guys to arrange a visit to the factory for us. We ended up purchasing some truly beautiful pieces. Do not miss a drink at the rooftop

We had a wonderful 4 nights at the MYR Palacio Vallier hotel during the Fallas Festival. The staff were incredibly welcoming, courteous and always helpful. This hotel is beautiful, immaculate and very comfortable. It is perfectly positioned in a quiet plaza to enjoy the sites, bars and restaurants in the old town area. The roof terrace has fantastic views over Valencia with great bar service. Unable to review the hotel restaurant as we choose to dine out. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The best hotels make you feel like you are one of the first people to stay there. Everywhere is fresh, wear and tear is almost invisible and staff are pleased to see you - glad you are there! Palacio Vallier does that.

The room was beautiful and clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom, stairwell, foyer and view from the window were Architectural Digest worthy. The staff were welcoming and greeted us with Valencia water. It was a stay to remember.

The room was very clean, the staff were very courteous and friendly. The amenities were more than adequate. The hotel building is very attractive and well located in the centre of Valencia near to many of the tourist highlights. Lots of good restaurants within easy walking distance. The breakfast was excellent, good choice of food and excellent staff. All in all a memorable experience.

The room was spotless, as was the bathroom. The hotel's staff was friendly and welcoming. And the hotel's location was ideal. The hotel's design and decor were superb. I can't wait to come back and stay again. This was a wonderful 30th anniversary trip to Spain.
