NH Collection Paseo del Prado

Upscale modern hotel steps from Prado and Thyssen-Borneo’s museums. Staff are professional and friendly. They let us check in early at no charge. Plenty of cute restaurants on back streets up the hill behind the hotel.

Excellent hotel with a location within walking distance of great museums such as the Prado.

Beautiful hotel, unbeatable location, friendly staff, the breakfast was very good and available until noon. We walked to most places but there’s also a taxi stop right outside so super convenient. The train station is also about a 15 min walk.

Mixed feelings. My opinion its not a 5 stars hotel. Missing some major features. Also, breakfast isn't included. In order to pay €7 less you have to prebook? And the place wasn't busy at all. Gym is on the rooftop, but to get there one has to get outside and walk the stairs. Anyway, bot coming back.

Great location, very comfortable rooms, bottle of wine in the room for free and champagne in the lobby are nice, amazing breakfast! Highly recommend this hotel!

Beautiful design, bed was a little firm for my taste.

Lobby and check-in was under renovation. One elevator (the only one down to the breakfast area) was not working. Room was beautiful but so chilly, I could not sit and read. Room was colder than the hallways and the elevators. I turned the heat to the max (23 C or 73 F) but it never rose to that temperature. There was no way to make it warmer. I appreciate they are trying to conserve energy, but if the heat is malfunctioning, there should be an option to set it higher, hoping the actual temperature would still be reasonable. Maintenence came, and management also and said they had fixed something centrally, but it never improved. If I had been staying one more night, I would have requested another room, but it wasn't worth it for my 18 hour stay. The room's odd shape and single air vent may have contributed. There was a reasonable sized bedroom with a bathroom leading off at an angle, and an alcove with chair and minibar at another angle. Sort of Y shaped. Another odd design feature was in the bathroom. A makeup mirror was located on the far end of the sink counter. But the only way to get there was between a towel rack that was attached to the counter and a bidet on the other size. There was only a 6 inch wide space to get to the mirror, and I estimate it was 3 or 4 feet long, so you couldn't lean over to reach it. Sometimes, rooms booked through Expedia mean you get the least desirable rooms, and I think this may have been the case. Pluses- stylish, great location staf

The property was being remodeled. Thus the Bar was closed, the Front Desk was moved to another area. The staff was extremely friendly. Unfortunately the “superior room with View” room was TINY in the first floor with a “great” view of the trees. When asked about the accommodations they insisted that was the room assigned. Mixed feelings about this Hotel.

The room is small, but that's not the real problem. The furniture in the room are clumsy, i.e., not the right types for the limited space, and poorly positioned making the room rather cluttered. For a hotel of this class, it's odd that there is only one elevator.

An excellent hotel in every way. Bountyful breakfast buffet. Within walking distance of the Prado and other top museums. Just a block from one of the best tapas location in Madrid.

For a tourist the location is great, right across the street from the Prado and the first stop on the get on get off bus and a busy taxi area.

The hotel, and staff were excellent ! all great !!! Will return in 3 weeks !

The hotel room was very small and had none of the typical things you expect in a four star hotel room, like ironing board, iron, free water, toiletries. The location was very good and it made up for these simple missing items. The Breakfast buffet was priced as the only option and it was far too expensive for a light breakfast eater. They should fix these simple problems

The location was perfect for visiting the Prado and other museums.The breakfast was wonderful. Staff went above and beyond to be helpful with restaurant suggestions, train reservations and more.

Staff was very accommodating, perfect location, safe and walkable to all major area attractions, nice and clean.
