Hotel informed me that my booking was cancelled upon arrival to the hotel.

Bed bugs found in the room - had to find a new place to stay all together. Reimbursement for stay pending.

If you're only looking for a bed for a night, this hotel is passable and cheap enough. Anything beyond that I wouldn't recommend. This was one of the dirtiest hotels I've stayed at. The plastic mug in the bathroom looked like it'd barely even been rinsed after the previous guest, and was full of what looked like toothpaste remains. Shower full of grout. Mini fridge didn't work. The bed linen looked clean enough, but if cleanliness is a priority you should avoid this property at all costs.

Door to balcony didn’t properly close, no one came to take rubbish or replenish toilet paper, towels etc. no one was at the front desk. The shower and sink drips. Breakfast was nice. It would be a fine place to stay for 1-2 nights but no longer than that

Ariston Hotel is set in a very quiet location just outskirts of Stockholm City Center which was perfect with clean air.

Reception is only staffed from 6AM to 5PM (an often not even during those hours). Rooms and communal areas are in a poor state of decoration/repair. Previous guests food was left in fridge. The room was not cleaned or serviced at all during a 4 night stay. The room only had lights over the door and window, nothing in the centre of the room. Breakfast was passable, but limited. It would probably have been difficult to get table space during bust times.

This should not be listed as a hotel as it's more of a hostel. We arrived on the first of May late in the night. We got our keys from reception and when we got to the room it was filthy. The "clean" bedsheets had black stains on them, the curtains were hanging off, the bathroom was dirty and the mattresses were covered in unidentifiable stains. We felt so uncomfortable and unsafe that we didn't even unpack and we went out to reception with our bags to hand back the keys. The women on the desk asked to see the room and after showing her the filthy room so said " I can get new sheets" , we asked her if she would stay in a room like this and she answered no. If the room was clean before arrival then why would we need to change the bedsheets again? After speaking with the women on the desk she said she couldn't refund us and there were no other rooms available for the night. We spoke to her colleague (jimmy) on the phone who also said he couldn't help us other than to give a email to contact regarding a refund. We were left on our first night in Stockholm without accommodation and no help from the staff at this hotel. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It cost us a lot of money to book somewhere else and not to mention it being after midnight by the time we got accommodation sorted. I have emailed the email given to me by reception and 6 days later, I still haven't received a response. It's disgraceful and so unprofessional. Avoid this place at all costs

Let’s get the good stuff out of the way first: the hotel itself is in a very good location. It’s only a 15 minute walk from the island center where there’s plenty of great food and shops. The staff was very hospitable and especially patient with me on the first night when I arrived in the middle of the night. Now the rest. Upon walking up the stairs I noticed that the carpets were covered in stains of all colors and sizes. This was true from one end of the hallway to the other. When I got to my room it was the same, big brown and white splotches all over and there were parts where you could see the floorboards through the carpet. The sheets on the bed were clean however I noticed something particularly disgusting on both of the smaller black pillows on the beds: crusty white stains which could have only been one thing. How you miss obvious semen stains on black pillows, I don’t know. I’ve known teenagers who put more care into cleaning that stuff up.

Very dated (and dirty) rooms (furniture, carpets, toilet /shower). Bed lined were clean and breakfast modest but ok. It was quiet at night at the hotel and outside. We were visiting family friends in Lidingö so this location was perfect. Otherwise I probably would have left as soon as I came across previous guest’s hair on chairs and shower room floor.. The helpful Reception person ran the breakfast buffet and probably does the cleaning too, so not surprising. More staff for cleaning and a refurbish would make a big difference. Also note that there are no hotel staff members present overnight.

It is an uncomfortable and dirty hotel. There are no staff on site.

The best hotel in Lidingö, especially if you are looking for calm, safe and xomfortable place

My booking disappeared in the system and the receptionist acted really awful. I had trouble both checking in and checking out, cause they said I hadn’t payed for my room.

Amazing night and confutable

Lovely staff. Great breakfast, lots to choose from. Bed comfy. Close to a bus route. Plenty of parking. Would stay again.

It is a good value for money. It is outdated but it is clean. For the price you pay, it is OK. No major issue overall (apart from virtually no wifi internet connection). If you want a decent clean room to sleep and a pretty nice breakfast, on Lindingö, then go for it.

This is an older hotel but they tried to make it nice. It is just dated.

The Hotel has very convenient location and has really good quality-price rate. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing! Reception staff is very kind and helpfull.
