Very nice hotel and restauranthh in a beautiful manor. We got one on the suites, which even had a sauna in suite.

Very relaxing surroundings. Friendly and service oriented staff. Good breakfast but some shortage of tables. Additional tables outdoor would have been good as the weather allowed that. Minor issues with renovation needs but that did not change the overall good feeling.

Great hotel with friendly and welcoming staff, very comfortable beds, and excellent food. This was our second visit, and we will be back.

Nice location and excellent service. We did not try out the relaxing department, but the jacuzzi seemed to fit six people comfortably. Plenty of out-door games available.

Beautiful hotel but bit of a pity the busy road is so near. The restaurant is probably high class but pricey and the staff not very accommodating about anything not on the menu

Very quiet, relaxing, couldn't get the TV to work but wasn't there for that. Very cozy room. Dinner menu was a little short on selection, "if you have a picky eater in your group", but breakfast was outstanding. The waffle maker was a hit!

Splendid old building with lovely restaurant. We weren't able to stay in the main building, but the room was still OK, but probably not as good as the rooms in the main building

Stayed for 2 nights in early June. The setting is stunning and it's easy to find just off the main road. Greeted by the excellent front of house staff - they couldn't have been more helpful - and found our room in one of the houses in the grounds (the "superior" rooms are 6 to a "house"). Whilst spacious, airy and clean, they now need a bit of TLC and the facilities are a bit sparse - no drawers in the wardrobes. The lower floor rooms, especially the bathrooms, need net curtains or somesuch as our room was in full view of anyone using the outside staircase from an upper room and we had to keep the bathroom curtains drawn - a bit gloomy! I'm sure we were just unlucky in that a bunch of extremely noisy guests (not Swedish but close neighbours) were in another house in the gardens and they partied (it was "Scandinavian Independence" weekend) until well into Sunday morning with their loudspeakers facing the rest of the hotel. We heard everything, despite the double glazing (it was a warm summer night and there was no a/c) and were forced to call the hotel staff who, once again, were magnificent in dealing with a large group of very inebriated "guests" and it all eventually quietened down at about 03.30. Apart from that, it was a lovely place to stay and we'll go back again (although we'll pick our dates more carefully, perhaps!). Top marks to the excellent staff - thank you.

I rate this hotal a 4-1/2 (they don't allow 1/2-points on the rating bar.) We loved this place. The rooms were comfortable and large, with very comfortable beds. Quiet at night. Staff very helpful and attentive. The staff's English was very good. We were a party of 4 including a married couple, a 77-year-old and an 8-year-old. This hotel worked well for all of us. Quiet country inn feel. Nice restaurant with food we all enjoyed. Nice 2-course chef's special meal for a reasonable price. Nice glass of wine served with the meal. All in all a very enjoyable stay. The breakfast was excellent (buffet style continental with eggs and meats as well.) Recommended.

Perfectly situated for where I needed to be. I would definetly recommend this to anyone looking for a peacfull retreat whether on a business or leisure trip.

Fint mottagande av alla. Rummet mycket trevligt välstädat och sängarna jättesköna. Frukosten bra, som en ordinarie hotell frukost med ett stort plus att allt kött var markerat med nöt, gris, kyckling. Det som drar ner betyget är relaxen. Den var fin men inga handdukar på plats och ingen information om att man skulle ta med från rummet. Inte heller information om att man måste säga till om att bastun skulle startas När vi ifrågasatt detta fick vi svaret: -Trodde ingen ville basta eftersom det var varmt ute !!!??? Att jacuzzin dessutom enbart höll 36 grader (enligt personalen var det helt korrekt) gjorde inte saken bättre.

Værelset var stort og rummeligt. Møblerne var lidt slidte, men lænestolene var dog gode at sidde i. Værelset trængte til vedligeholdelse med maling af vinduer, døre mm. Værelset var beliggende i et lille hus lidt væk fra hovedhuset og det lignede en tidligere medarbejderbolig. Der var plastikhavestole ved hoveddøren, så det virkede noget simpelt for en “herregård”. Lidt blomsterkrukker og ordentlige havemøbler kunne have pyntet på huset. Restauranten havde 3 hovedretter på menukortet, og de blev ikke skiftet dagligt, så vi valgte 2. aften at køre ind til Vänersborg, selvom vi gerne ville have undgået at bevæge os. Morgenbuffeten var righoldig og udvalget var rigtigt fint…dejligt lyst lokale.
