Scandic CH

Overall a positive experience!

Very disappointing stay and absolutely not worth the price. From the moment we arrived, Scandic CH Gävle felt worn, outdated, and poorly maintained. The accessible/PWD elevator was out of order, meaning heavy luggage had to be carried up steps, and the elevator area itself looked old and neglected. The room was acceptable, but it was oddly prepared for two guests, with only one visible duvet and two pillows. We had to contact reception just to learn the rest was hidden in a chest, which felt unnecessarily inconvenient. The gym/spa floor was the low point: one of two elevators was out of service, the area was dark with no clear signs, and the gym was small, windowless, poorly equipped, and even had cracked flooring. Breakfast was okay, but overall this stay felt like a waste of money. I would not return unless prices were significantly lower or the property was properly updated.

Great staff

A lovely hotel with friendly staff, it was a real pleasure to stay at the Scandic CH. Check-in was easy and quick. My room was clean and spacious and had everything I needed. Breakfast was nice and plentiful. The added bonus of the gym on the top floor was handy. I had a nice time at this hotel and would recommend.

Centrally located right by the railroad station... Good access for parking and getting into hotel with elevators

Good location, comfortable rooms and public spaces. Good selection at breakfast. Comfy beds. Good to be back!

Nice hotel close to the main station. You barely hear any trains when sleeping,which is good. Tasty breakfast with a wide variety of things to choose from. Room 127 was nice and clean. High quality sauna for men. The women's sauna could use an upgrade though. Plenty of fitness equipment to use.

Bad level of service & hospitality… unfriendly employees

Staff were great, hotel furnishings a bit tired. Sadly I found blood on my pillow which was disappointing.

Decent hotel for a night’s stay without any expectations on an extraordinary hotel experience. It was clean, basic standard and a comfortable bed.

Lovely to come back and see the old Hotel in a new mode. Thé restaurant was brilliant and the service overall fantastic. Thé Hotel is Under restriktion and I got a new very Nice and modern Room... i cant be Amy more P leased...

Bra varitipbsrik frukost

Bra frukost, fina rum och allt helt OK.Läget är bra, mitt i centrum, tyvärr så min min vistelse väldigt kort och hann inte utnyttja hotellet.

Bra gym, fräscha lokaler. Saknar någon fisk på frukosten, sill eller lax

Överlag var boendet bra, personalen trevlig och vi hade allt som vi hade kunnat önska. Svårt att hitta parkering i området och hotellets garage var dyrt. Det enda som bör kritiseras är frukosten. Absolut inte den kvalitet man hade önskat av en hotellfrukost. Utbudet är kanske på papper eller på bild OK, men i verkligheten fanns mycket att önska. Vi bodde under en tid då hotellet var fullbokat så man fick dessutom endast 30 minuter på sig att äta fruskosten. Om man tog den sista tiden, vilket var kl. 10.00, då hade man bara 20 minuter på sig för vi 10.20 började personalen att plocka bort frukosten. Aldrig varit på ett hotell med så dåligt uppstyrd frukost både gällande tider, utbud, kvalitet, och en sån enkel sak som bestick, som det inte alltid fanns tillgängligt. Om dom styr upp frukosten så kommer jag tillbaka, annars chansar jag hellre på ett annat hotell nästa gång!

Mkt trevlig och serviceinriktad personal. Fint att de inte ryckte tallrikarna vid frukostbordet utan frågade om de skulle ta dem.
