The property itself is gorgeous and well equipped. I booked for 1 night and only if I have more time to spend in the hotel. The only thing is the bar tender in the hotel is not polite at all and it seems he does not like to serve or be asked about questions.
All the other staffers are exceptionally polite thoigh

The Sunstar Hotel was awsome!! We truley enjoyed our stay here. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable! I would definitely recommand this hotel and would stay here the next time I am in Grindelwald!

The hotel has a great view, very relaxing. I would’ve expected more of the rooms. Maybe a little remodeling will do. Especially for the price you pay for hospitality. I enjoyed being in the lobby versus the room

We had a fantastic stay at the Sunstar Hotel:
stunning views
spacious room
well located - close to "First" lift, bus stop by the hotel and ski rental shop next door
super friendly/helpful staff
great buffet breakfast
amazing spa
The only negatives:
the ski/boot room is woefully small for the size of hotel/number of guests. Not only could you hardly move in there at busy times, but sometimes it was difficult to find a place to put your skis/boots. The biggest ski hotel I've ever stayed in, yet the smallest boot room - scratch head.
The bar was very nice with an open fire every night. However on some nights the bar service was incredibly slow - like 25 mins to order a drink. I know some nights were busy and some quiet, but when busy would it be possible to find another member of staff to serve?

We enjoyed our stay overall. Disappointed there was not a hot tub and the hotel restaurant was booked for everyday we stayed. We tried to make reservations when we checked in, but were unable to.

Nice hotel, lobby and surroundings is nicer than the room, anyway, room is big too. Like the playground, fireplace, buffet, and the view of the buffet restaurant. Anyway, bad attitude of a man in the restaurant as we went to the wrong restaurant in the hotel when we searching for buffet restaurant in the morning

Really lovely hotel. You needed to request a kettle and return it at check out. Where’s the coffee machine was in situ. They offered a fridge with complimentary drinks, but they were standard, I have food intolerances which meant that half the drinks were of no use to me. So it would have been better to have a choice. The swimming pool and spa was lovely. But most of the sauna and steam rooms were for access of 16+ and nude, which wasn’t ideal for a single mother. My daughter is only 8. The breakfast was good. Amazing selection of teas. The egg station was good. The cups could have been placed near the tea, not just next to the coffee. Ingredients and labels for food could have been clearer. It would have been good to be able to reheat food and drinks. A microwave for use of guests would have been good. It would have been nice if a simple rosti with bacon/ egg was available at the bar or restaurant and I would have liked it if a portion of chips and salads were also available at the bar.
