Kiwi Express Hotel - Taichung Station Branch II

DID LIKE the services and immediate assistance provided from the staff and free bike rental and luggage storage. The male dorm room was spacious and quiet during my stay and you a sensor card to enter which us secure and nice. A passcode locker is available to each tenant. But please note that you need to prepare your own towel and tooth brush and toothpast. Dirty clothes? No woories coz you can pay for the laundry services if needed. Though the location it's a bit distant from the train and bus station, the nice walk along the Green River (Lu Chuan) is nice and soothing. Simple yet free continental breakfast with coffee is served so you may save more during the stay. But I was surprised to find that the face wash, shampoo, and shower gel were actually the SAME and the smell was not pleasant. If you do care about the scent, prepare your own travel kits. And the only young lady, Amy, of breakfast station, was quite friendly and hrlpful so it further added some points towards the accommodation experience. Thank you Amy for the nice breakfast talk. Overall comfortable stay. 8 bed dorm room has lockers for your backpack and belongings. Shoes are kept in shoe locker on 1st floor. Indoor hostel slipper must be worn. Lounge is spacious though access ends at midnight. Laundry access 24hrs. Breakfast is bread/toast with jam. Water, coffee, tea and juices are available all day. Carpets in stairway need vaccuming. Otherwise cleanliness is adequate. Location is close to bus lines, restaurant and train station.

It was a nice place. Lovely common area, friendly staff, clean room and comfy bed.

nice service and the staff’s attitude is polite and friendly. I think i was treated as a family member , so i will still choose the hotel in the next trip to Taichung.

Place is convenience and it is a good choice to stay there for couple days. Staff are nice.

This hotel has a great location near market streets and a 15 min walk to the train station. The place is very clean and has a nice area upstairs to hangout. Check-in is at 5 o'clock for some reason, so we waited upstairs. Don't be fooled by the "breakfast"... its just bread slices and corn soup. Overall, a nice place. We got a private room that even had a bath tub.

Dirty shower area and dirty bed.

Loved the slippers only in hotel policy where you store your shoes in lockers in the hotels lobby. Hotel is clean. We will definitely stay again.

each of the traveller will be living in a small capsule like space, personally ok as the bed is soft enough. Just remember to bring your ear plugs for noise, afterall there will be noise in a shared enviroment

near railway station but it takes 1h to high speed train station, you should pay attention to your departure place

As a hostel style stay, I would comment below: Pros: free breakfast, clean environment, washine machine availability, shoes-off, public bathroom/shower is enough,well-equipped utilities Cons: small head reading light, mites in the sheet/duvet cover so I get allergic during my stay

Overall a good hotel and I enjoyed my stay there. Just dislike that I need to change my shoes on ground floor before I enter my room.

Not t bad but need one towel for each

It's abit lost to find the location. Just the dryer for 30mins is insufficient u need more time to make sure ur clothes are dry. Overall satisfied!

It is a nice hotel with a nice location. Also, the style is casual and the facilities are great for backpackers! Feel free to book and enjoy there!

Hostel is very close to train station, so easy to find it. Staff are nice and good take care. Have locker (lock by your keycard) in the room. Bathroom quite big have shampoo and shower gel inside. have hair dryer outside bathroom. Just only one plug you should bring more plug. Locker sound a bit making some noice.

Newly opened express hotel with clean and tidy rooms and toilets. Best choice for backpacker for its cheap price, convenient location (just 5 minute walk from Tai Chung train station) and comfortable environment. Best dorm I have ever seen with adequate privacy, as screen is available to make a enclosed space for every bed. Simple breakfast is provided free of charge. Highly recommended for backpackers around the world.

It is nice. There is a window in the room allowing fresh air, however, no fresh air duct was provided for each cubicle, ventilation will not be enough if the blind of the cubicle is lowered.

Domitory room is quite small, but I enjoyed my staying for 4nights. I'm sure I'll stay there again.
