The front desk staff are nice and friendly. Lobby looks luxury, restaurant is clean , breakfast is delicious .Unfortunately, guest room has old stains on carpet , when you open the door , smells is not good.

This hotel is very dated. When we walked into the hotel, there's strong moldy smell. The furniture and walls have scratch everywhere. Will definitely not go back again!

Very convenient, walking distance to subway station. Some of the rooms has lake view which is very nice!

This hotel seems to be an old property, however it has been very well maintained. The rooms overlooking the river are a must. That is the prime reason for this hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. It is walking distance from the Xindian MRT and bus station and also very close to many scenic tourist places.

Great value for excellent customer service from the front desk and hotel staff. The hotel was clean, with great location and 6-7 minutes walking distance to the Xindian MRT station. Highly recommended!!! I will definitely revisit Lake Hotel!

Terrific location near a fantastic river park.

Staff was professional and eager to assist in any way. Room was clean and had lots of extras, for a base-priced room. There was a desk, safe, closet w/hangers, tea/coffee pot, fridge, hairdryer, comfy beds and an amazing bidet that you could employ, if desired. The breakfast buffet had an elaborate selection w/high quality choices..cappucino, etc., eggs, salad, fresh fruit, milk, cereal, meats, sauteed veggies, toast, carbs, puddings, pouridge & toppings. The non lake view provided a candid view into real, local life in Taipei. My 11th floor room, right across from the firw exit stairs, even had window exit equipment, just in case.

This hotel is situated in a gorgeous region, making it quite easy to go out for meals and sightseeing. It is far from the downtown area, making it ideal for individuals who value tranquility and privacy. Due to my work travels in the nearby region, I would not have considered staying at this hotel very often.

I've stayed at this hotel in the past (approx. 8 yrs ago). The condition was a bit dated then, but I've never had any issues with the service. However, this time it felt like the service and conditions took a step back, despite its "updates" since my last stay and despite booking the VIP "Renaissance" suite. The room card didn't work in unlocking the door, nor was it needed to turn on the lights in the room. So why they even bothered giving us a room card escapes my logic. The hot water in the shower required five minutes of meeting the water run before coming to. We were given the option of switching to another VIP room, but I didn't want to chance it. The updates to the VIP suite's bathroom layout was also awkward, with the tub halfway hidden behind a wall and dangerous to step into on a wet floor. When my friend requested extra towels and soap, the response given was that they were busy and it would be at least 15 minutes before someone came. That was fine, since we told them we'll wait, but then curiously they asked when we'll be leaving our room. My friend reiterated that it won't be a problem since we'll be in the room when they come around with the toiletries, but then the person asked again when we'll leave the room, as if they heard nothing of what my friend said. In summary, I would've preferred the hotel's former condition and service to its current state, and will reconsider staying here next time I'm in the area.

Loved the great view of the river from my room. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were friendly. I had a very pleasant stay and will come back.

Nice hotel with riverside view near restaurants and shops short walk across the bridge.

Close to nearby hiking trails. People are very friendly. Good street food across the suspension bridge.

My family and i were overwhelmed by the luxurious and posh feel of this hotel presented to us when price we paid were at an extreme great value. Room is big and is a standard proper room that cater ample space for luggages. We also get great view of the lake and mountain from our room. Breakfast was fabulous and staff were efficient and extremely helpful to my request. There is also a small shop chain just right beside the hotel where there are 7-11, confectionery shop, their local coffeeshop, pharmacy, etc... You may like to also take a boat ride along the lake which is just only 5mins walk and to XinDian MRT station is 10mins.
