The property is older but well maintained especially the room. Staffs are helpful and courteous. I did find it odd that the hallway carpet wasn't replaced sooner. It is wrinkled and worn thin. Not even a high cost item to replace, relatively.

Hotel was able to find a room for me to take a nap when I arrived very early. They were able to accommodate my early check in despite being sold out

This is a great hotel. This is our fourth stay there in seven years. The room is spacious, well appointed, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were professional and helpful, accommodating our requests fast and accurately! We will definitely stay there again next time when we visit Kaohsiung.

This is our 2nd time staying here and its a good place. Nice and clean, nice staff, good food to walk to. Its a good place to stay.

Though this is an old hotel, I extremely enjoy it's quietness and cleanliness. The bed is comfortable. The hotel made up the bed for me everyday promptly when I was out. The room is also spacious. The only downside is that the hotel is old and need renovation.

The room (1201) aircon fan speed is rather messed up, ended up turning off the aircon for the night as it was too cold. Thermostat not working.

Overall are good, The only bad thing is too cold, air conditioner not under control

Hotel staffs are very helpful and friendly!

It's an older hotel....it's really nice and clean.Its also very comfortable...only problem is check out time (on the weekend) with only two elevators and it took over 20 minutes to get to Lobby from 16th floor.

Unfortunate service experience. Check in was unfortunately slow, and in my opinion could have been properly managed if front desk staff avoid making small talks with check in guest if there is a long queue of guests waiting behind the line to check in. There was also a bad experience at the car parking basement when i was driving my car out of the hotel. The car park attendant asked to see my car parking coupon which i handed to him, however it was very unusual for him to demand to see my car registration ownership license and also my driver license to verify that i am the owner of the car!? I had explained to him that I stayed in the hotel and had registered the car to my room. After spending some time explaining, he told me it's ok and i can leave. I do not see this happening to other hotel guest driving out of the parking lot and was rather disappointed and doubtful over such action. Definitely not the best experience to be spending the weekend in this hotel.

Staff helpful, room’s clean but carpet a bit old and wear. Always a strange and unpleasant smell gathered at the guest entrance lift lobby. We stayed there for 6 days and it was there every day.

The staff was excellent and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and welcoming. Meals at the restaurants were wonderful creations of tastes and smells. The room was comfortable and quiet. Loved having 3 chairs for 2 people staying in the room. All around a wonderful stay in a fun city. Thank you

This hotel has amazing value for money. Unlike many TW hoyels, the room is huge with bath tub and large bath room and it is already good value for money. Room deco and interior is out dated. Probably early 2000s or late 90s. But if you are into retro or old style deco, like myself, you will love it. Hotel seems have a Gym and a Pool but seems like been close for years and possibly that is why you can not see the picture of it from Expedia page.

2 days prior to our arrival, the hotel notified us that the gym and pool were closed. If we had known at time of booking, we could have chosen a different hotel.

Rate itself has 5 stars hotel yet none of their amenities are not available (no gym, pool, spa). Hotel is dated. Wife walked into bathroom on day 1 wonder if floor was cleaned because can see visible stain. No none feather option in room despite we have allergies, was given an air purifier. Only one physical key for room door. Gave notice their hot water shut down while staying there. Asked for any sort of compensation such as discount but given nothing. States because notice given so that's that. Well I paid for a room that suppose to come with hot water, very hot in taiwan and can't shower in afternoon but you gave me a piece of paper saying no hot water so its ok? I'm not even asking for room discount, maybe at least offer a free breakfast, a souvenir for the inconvenience? Cost isn't cheap for local area pricing. Unfortunately, that's just not adequate customer service for me. I would probably consider other options nearby in future.
