Ananda Villa

Great hotel with spacious rooms. Walkable to lots of restaurants. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

This is the second time that I have stayed at Ananda Villa while in Koh Tao. I like that it is nice and close to the dive shop that I dive with, that it is in the quieter part of town, super close to the ferry (no taxi needed), so many great places to eat in the area and of course endless options for a good massage plus the staff are super friendly and helpful. The only thing that I don't like is that there isn't really anywhere to sit on their beach... there isn't access to chairs/lounges - which is the downfall. They have a beautiful spot with a beautiful view and you can't really enjoy it unless you bring along your towel and find a spot and take a seat on the stairs. There is a place to sit and relax if you participate in the services of the restaurant - Breeze - wish this was different!

The location was perfect for us - right next to our dive shop and the pier. I think it’s great value for the money. Staff was nice and allowed us to store our bags after checkout before we moved on.

*Amazing customer service received from receptionist - switched rooms to newer building for stronger A/C *Tip: request upstairs corner room with ocean view Laundry service was excellent and same price as anywhere nearby. We stayed 5 nights to dive with Master Divers (short walk down the street) and would happily stay again.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is far enough away from the main street to allow quiet. It is close to dining and activities. The sunsets are spectacular.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ananda. The staff was helpful and the location was great. We were just a two-minute walk from the ferry and close to the main street with shops and restaurants. The room was large and comfortable.

I have been traveling for over a month visiting many locations throughout Asia. My trip to Koh Tao was spectacular and Ananda Villa was a big part of that reason. It’s proximity to the pier makes it so convenient to find and the atmosphere it projects makes you feel like you are light years away from the pier. The staff is amazing because they do everything to ensure you have a friendly, peaceful and relaxing stay. Inside the rooms are very nice. They are extremely clean, supplied with thoughtful “extra amenities (beach towels, umbrellas, etc), spacious and most room if not all have a partial view of the beach. The “vibe” has f the hotel is one of tranquility, which made my stay completely amazing. Thank you!

This hotel was fantastic!! The view from my room was amazing and I wish I could have stayed longer! The staff were friendly and helpful. I like staying at this side of town vs Sairee Beach - a little quieter and close to the dive shop I was with. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Koh Tao

I absolutely loved my all-too-short stay here. I was able to check in several hours early which is always a good start. The staff were really friendly and helpful. My room was large, bright, well-furnished and spotless with a spacious balcony with a brilliant view of the beach. I love that they provide beach blankets, a tote bag, laundry basket and a torch. Breeze restaurant next door serve good food although the menu was not extensive. It is right on the beach. Pranee's kitchen on the other side of the hotel served very tasty and reasonably priced Thai food. There are also many other places just walking distance down the small side streets.

This hotel is literally the first hotel on the beach next to the ferry pier. It was super convenient because we didn’t have to pay taxi fare to to and from town. The staff was friendly and the room was spotless. Cleaning staff was cleaning all day, including the windows and stairwell. The beach directly in front of the hotel was not great to swim in as a dive school has buoys set up for students to practice, but there’s a nice quiet beach area 0.2 miles up the beach.

The hotel is very near the pier. Less than 3 min walk away. The exterior looks pretty and modern. Interior is clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly too.

Testy and Good food at Pranee Kitchen next door too. Good room service, nice cotton bag.

Great choice if wanting to stay in Mae Haad area and dive. Lots of restaurants in vicinity so don't really have to go to Sairee Beach area for amenities (which costs between 200 to 400 bht) Only complaint was there didn't seem to be a way to contact reception after 9pm and before 9am

Ok but nothing special

Very friendly staff. Nice room with balcony and view of beach/harbour. Good choice of freshly prepared food for breakfast along with fresh fruit juice and tea or coffee from Pranee's kitchen. Very short walk from the Lomprayah pier at Mae Haad. A sister building was nearing completion, facing the existing one. The balconies in this new building will not get direct sun, but do have views of the beach. It looked as though a roof terrace was included in the new building but we did not have access so cannot be certain.

Used for quick stop over before moving on to elsewhere on Koh Tao - perfect spot as only about 1 minute to ferry piers. Friendly staff and clean rooms so ideal for short stop over.

Right on the beach, two minute walk from the ferry terminal, very tasty restaurant right opposite it which is cheap but great quality, good local shops, plenty places to hire quads, mopeds, taxi or taxi boats. The rooms are huge and extremely clean and comfortable! Sitting on the balcony in the evenings, rain or sunshine, was amazing! We loved our stayed and will be back again I am sure! I recommend the upper floor to get better views!

Girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in June 2015. We got one of the superior rooms and I am aware we were paying a little more than the norm for this island but I think it was worth it. Rooms were clean, no bugs. Good location next to the pier and Sairee beach is a 15-20 minute walk away.
