The hotel is very good, much more beautiful than in the picture, more than expected, the room is big, the bathroom is very wide. (Room with bathtub) Soft bed, many pillows, fog view, mountains and near the dam, easy to travel. all lovely staff The foreigner is very well taken care of. Very attentive to customers. We went in the rainy season, it rained all day, but still managed to go on a cruise to see the dam. Wet but beautiful, the water is very clear, I recommend it.

I really like the surrounding atmosphere. The nature is super. The rooms are clean, have coffee and snacks in the morning to eat. Book a double bed but go to 3 people. Rent 1 extra bed at the price of 100. Very cheap. Accommodation near the canal. Can hear the water at night because of booking. Staff are not familiar with the name. Price is good because there are promotions all the time. Definitely going to stay next time Because not far from the Cheow Lan dam Heart shaped suspension bridge And other natural attractions

This region invites exploration, promising encounters with genuine Thai life and landscapes that have remained relatively untouched by mass tourism, making it an appealing choice for those who value discovery and immersion.

The character of Khao Wong is not monolithic; it unfolds across distinct neighbourhoods, each offering a different facet of the region's appeal. From the tranquil waters of Cheow Lan Lake to the more grounded community life in Ban Ta Khun, the choice of where to base oneself significantly shapes the travel experience. Cultural Norms and Staying Safe in Khao Wong

Understanding and respecting local customs is paramount for a smooth and enriching visit to Khao Wong. While Thai culture is generally known for its politeness and hospitality, certain nuances can catch international visitors by surprise. For instance, the head is considered sacred, so avoid touching someone's head, and always remove your shoes before entering a home or temple. Showing respect for elders and monks is also deeply ingrained in the culture, and public displays of affection should be kept to a minimum.

When visiting significant cultural sites like Wat Ta Khun, adherence to dress codes is essential. Shoulders and knees should be covered, so it's advisable to carry a scarf or sarong for this purpose. Photography is usually permitted, but always be mindful of your surroundings and avoid taking pictures of people without their consent, especially monks during prayer. Queuing politely and maintaining a calm demeanour are appreciated, reflecting the general respectfulness that characterizes Thai social interactions, ensuring a positive experience for all.
