Kata Beachwalk Hotel and Bungalows

Great value for money but a bit limited in area restaurants which were overpriced, tourist prices.

Basic accommodation but a very friendly and helpful host, as well as a great location - 3 min walk to the beach as well as restaurants and food markets.

This property is just what I was looking for as a traveler on a budget. It was a five minute walk to the beach, but still had a great view of the sea. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a good spot for pickup/drop off for taxis. Overall, I would recommend this stay to anyone.

Nice

Great great value for location! Across the street and down a walkway for Beach access. The walkway smells terrible but it's literally 20 steps and you're through (and not a hotel problem). The room was large and they brought us an extra bed for one of the kids. It is clean but there are some things like dirty window panes in the washrooms etc. Nothing worth worrying about though as it isn't an area that you're in contact with. The high contact areas are greatly cleaned and their staff are always willing and available to help. We struggled a bit with the internet but anytime we asked for support they were literally at our door in 2 minutes. Outstanding staff! The furniture in the rooms is super old and I was super worried that we were going to break the cupboard haha but they've painted them to look more modern. One wish, was that we had more areas to hang up towels/swim clothes but we made due! The kitchen downstairs was also awesome and one of the cheaper options along with the beach restaurants (Think $6 a meal CDN - $4 ish USD)! Seriously amazing! Biggest downfall - no elevator, but it really wasn't terrible for stairs. If you can't do stairs though definitely don't stay here! Overall, we'd absolutely stay here again.

Unfortunately, this property does not have a pool or dining facilities. We had to leave the property for food, although it was near, often we like to eat at the property.

Great stay. The lady on reception was extremely helpful. She messaged when our room was ready early and helped us with our bags. Room was lovely, great location and very clean!

Superb WiFi, good and convenient location and free towels and matts for the beach. However, hotel is beginning to feel a little ‘tired’ but what do you expect at that price

I had a room with balcony , the atmosphere was great, my bed really comfortable, the room was a good size. The manager was always available, she made me feel at ease and welcome. I am going back there next week , I loved it! It's so close to the beach , shopping area , restaurants, food market, all that you need from a holiday home.

Very friendly staff and nice dining

It was a total nightmare and I had to leave. This hotel was a worst experience ever.Mould was everywhere. This is not a 3 star hotel .. Safety and health issues are the main concern here.

Good location, maintenance standard is low, noisy from the street and music from nearby entertainment

This is a horrible horrible hotel or whatever you can call it. the pictures are deceiving and its in worst shape. trash all over the place. The lady who suppose to be the receptionist is doing business from her own apartment with no shoes, no pants and look very sick. The rooms smell heavy duty mildew and beat-up. We booked two rooms and immediately check out. The trash around the bungalow made an excellent residence for mosquitos. I feel like I should be refunded for my two bedroom booking. Sad Sad Sad!!!!!

The location is good but the room was not very nice. At first glance it was looked nice but at a closer look the shower had quit a bit of mildew, the shower curtain was very old and had mildew stains, the curtains on the entrance sliding door had stains, my husband saw a bug in the bathroom during the night and the bedsheets had a tear. I wish we paid a bit more stayed someplace cleaner. We spent 3 nights. And if you can’t climb stairs this is not a place for you.

Kata Beachwalk is a great value and a wonderful place to spend your time in Phuket. I really liked the laid back atmosphere of both the hotel and surrounding area.

Affordable, clean hotel. Very friendly staff and great location to the beach.
