Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa

All the hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast selection is very, very good. The food in the restaurant is rather modest and below average. Everything looks very good, it just doesn't taste good.

Was exactly as the guide and the photos portrayed. Not a lot to do outside of the hotel grounds but the hotel itself was excellen. The Fishbar was a little expensive but the food was really nice. Would thoroughly recommend for a relaxing break

The reason I gave 1stars on condition were 2 Major issues. 1. after check in and get into the room , I use the Toilet and it won’t flush! Call tech to fix he almost an hour and give up. so we got the room changed. This took almost 2hrs. Wasted our time. But the hotel gave us late check out and a plate of fruit for apologies. 2. This is the most serious issue. I hear a strange noise on my headboard and found a big bee fly around the headboard with lamp. I use a tower to grasp. them and take them out. After lay down on the bed. I heard that sound again. And I found the 2nd Bee again Now call staff to take them out I can‘t imagine how bad luck we are for the 2 issues on this one night visit 5stars hotel in my country.

This hotel is quite large. It is set in a quiet area with really no where to go. The beach is nice and walkable. I think for Thailand the meal and drink prices are high. We only drank during happy hour in the lounge but there are several options at different bars throughout the property. I can’t say enough about the staff. They were so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay the best. I think the hotel needs to put a little more effort into maintenance. Windows need cleaning, tile around the pool next to the Fish Bar needs to be fixed. Tile around this pool also needed a good clean. Housekeeping was great even a night turn down service. Our balcony door screeched when we opened it. Brought that to the attention of maintenance but nothing was done. Also, bird poop on and around our balcony was disgusting. Something should be done with the large pool next door which I think is attached to the Marriott somehow. It is green and dirty. It just doesn’t look good when looking out your window. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel but maybe for a week at a time as we were there for 2 weeks. The rooms were great, spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with a large selection of food. There are 2 very large pools with nice loungers and beach towels. If you just want to relax this definitely fits the bill.

Passing stay - friendly staff, great location on beach with two pools near beach which was perfect, beach bar and restaurant is nice only thing was whole place felt old and tired particularly my room - overall great for families as pools and beach great - nice breakfast served by wonderful staff - Inonly had one night by arrived early so lovely day on beach and pool

Stayed a few nights here in total . Really nice and good value mariott and has the look and feel of a lot of Marriott resort properties. We had one of the cheaper rooms and on a higher floor and we had great views of the sea from our daybed. The bathroom was nice and the room came with a big bath . Tv options are limited but there is a English movie channel . Great size to the room and felt spacious . The balcony is nice but would benefit from some furniture . The staff are nice , polite and friendly but gosh they are slow ! The hotel has a really nice feel to it and the staff are delightful to deal with but they take so long to do small tasks. it never felt busy anywhere we went on the resort so I can’t quite understand why The fish bar was nice enough , food was average , wait times 50 minutes for drinks , have to get my own menu that kind of thing which for a lot of thb it needs a rocket up it . Room service breakfast was pretty good overall . You won’t go wrong with the blueberry pancakes Which are delicious. My eggs Benedict turned up stone cold , was tasty but had obviously been left out too long . The coffee is ok and passable . Did love the facilities , the feel for the resort and the excellent room and overall had a great time . Would come back

Landscape setting and facilities

Very large area all the way to the beach. Nicely lined with beautiful trees and flowers and is lit with lightning to take an evening walk around the property. An awesome uncrowded beach with soft white sand and you can walk and take your time to a nice restaurant/bar along the way on the beach. The only disappointment was the food at the salt restaurant in the hotel. The food is horrible. They need to make some changes here. Like fire the chef and hire an experienced chef to straighten out the kitchen. However the food at the fish bar by the beach is fantastic. I ordered the Australian ribeye steak and it was absolutely delicious, probably the best steak I’ve eaten in Thailand. I believe the fish restaurant is privately owned from the hotel. Otherwise everything else at this Marriott hotel is top grade and I would definitely stay here again.

This is the 3rd time we stayed here and it’s always a great stay. First time since COVID and it appears they cut back on some amenities like toothbrushes and toothpaste, bubble bath etc. Hope they reverse that trend Breakfast is still good.

The hotel was gorgeous! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We didn’t have the best experience at C Salt our first night. There were 5 of us and 3 of us got our food before the other two. It took so long for the other dishes to come out that the three who had received their meals were already done eating. They said they had a bunch of orders, but how are you serving half the table first? The restaurant was basically empty. They said it was room service orders, but we did t even have a room service menu in our room. So I’m not sure how people were ordering ms I didn’t see a bunch of people popping in to order direct from the restaurant. They brought out fresh fruit as an apology at the end of the meal. By then we were exhausted from traveling and just wanted to get to our room. The light in our room was broken and wouldn’t turn off so we asked someone to come look at it. They fixed it quickly. We ordered 4 drinks at the bar by the pool and it took so long that we were leaving the pool by the time they were ready. In contrast, we ordered 4 drinks during happy hour and those came very quickly along with snacks! My advice with this hotel is just be prepared to wait a bit for things you want. Overall we were happy with our stay!

Lovely property - but check in was a nightmare. They couldn’t find the room booked on hotels.com and took 2 hours to provide a similar room after trying to push through a lower category room Otherwise, the property and support staff are excellent. Pools are one of a kind

Very spacious room but the hotel has seen better days and probably needs a face lift. Having said that the room was very comfortable, everything was in working order and the staff were very friendly and helpful. By far the best part of the hotel was the pool which must have stretched over 100m down to the beach.

Very bad experience… the hotel itself is in bad state, uncleaned, dirty walls, floors and everything in room is in desperate need of change. Even the tv remote holder is all torned, the coffee table in room has cracks and paint ripped off… something not excepted from Marriott…went there with the intention of extending our stay bt the hotel disappointed us big time! The hotel’s restaurant outlet thts advertised on the page as beach side restro ‘Fish Bar’ is apparently closed. Novotel is much better option thn Marriot… situated close to Marriott and charges 1/4 of wht Marriott does!!!
